Hes very different now but IMO he was the best fullback back then.

It's hard to answer, I saw a match from back in 04 a few months back and it was scary how much bulkier Mini was over every other back in the game - his upper body strength was superior to everyone in the game by far, tackling him 1 on 1 back then was near on impossible, he'd just toss them off like they were 10 year olds. Since then 95% of the backs in the game have bulked up to match his prototype body whilst he has had to slim down to ease the strain on his bung back.

I think I'd rather Slater running at me over Mini in his prime, Slater however is the better overall footballer.

mini still carnt pass to save his life? but at his prime he was like a pinball in the machine just bounced off evrything at high speed, i doubt slater will last as long as mini at the highest levels, dont forget until this season mini was the soo fullback for nsw, something slater will never be lol!

Yep agree. Slater is a freak of a talent, I have never seen Mini chip and regather like Slater did in SOO a few years back.

Mini is a manufactred fullback, a winger who when given the role excelled for a short time. Slater is pure natural talent and will be remembered as the best fullback this game has ever seen.

If you want to talk great Rooster fullbacks you can't go past Fairfax and shooey was good too, both better fbs than Mini imho.

Slater for sure, however, it must be said that Slater has said that he watched many of Mini's games and based his game on the way Mini used to play.

Same here mate, From what i have seen there are promising signs and im itching to see him in first grade
