there's an argument that if ch 9 gets good ratings then it attracts more advertising and is more willing to pay more to the nrl to broadcast league. more money in the game helps the code survive in a competitive environment. origin is the golden goose for league. no doubt it interferes with club footy but it won't be going anywhere soon.

Some poor defence from Gus on that second Qld try, got caught walking and then pretty average attempt on Tabuai-Fidow.
