  • NSW vs QLD SOO Game 3, Chit-chat Thread.

I'm surprised with the selection of Shibasaki who will play left centre for QLD. Am I missing something here? Is he that good?

Josh Papali'i is another interesting selection. He's playing well for the Raiders however the speed of SOO is on a different level!

Cleary has found some form in his last 2 outings for Penrith which imo will be the biggest contributing factor to a NSW victory.

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching our boys perform and wish them all good luck. No injuries please footy gods!

Have they announced Korrupt Klown as the circus ringmaster yet? Only a formality I know, as apparently he's on a level way above allowing someone else having a go at reffing at this level.

Don't get me wrong, I think he'll actually try and referee this game as impartially as he can, having done the opposite in game 2 to ensure a decider game 3.

Qld got the biggest leg up in game 2
and still nsw should have won the game if not for goal kicking

if nsw are on they should win this game easily
better pack. Better back 5 for yardage
cleary needs a big one, get the feeling if he fires nsw can’t loose!

missed Moses in game 2 with Cleary not kicking
luai was horrible in the first half

Bates how have you nearly amassed 5k posts in 2 years? At this rate you will eclipse Jacks Fur Coat 15k in no time, he won’t be happy.

            Hahaha

I love the Chooks, the pen and footy in general plus I'm retired now so have plenty of time.

I also tend to watch most games at some stage during the week.

Fair play mate, game 3 should be a blue wave, I don’t see Queensland being competitive for more then 20mins, even with Paps back for them, if the blues get a fair shake should be far too strong, agree with your comments regarding our boys they have been great provided Conor hasn’t had too much involvement, only thing I’d like too see is Lats kicking goals Lomax was woeful kicking series would have been won had he made those.

              NSW by 20, 30-10.

you'd figure nsw are morals but always tricky writing qld off.
hoping our boys get through unscathed

Id never heard if him before this year but what Ive seen of him this year in a good side is that he's a big strong & tough player.
Nearly impossible to stop close to the line & he rarely makes mistakes.
Its a great story his rise this year, he's apparently only on 80K

I questioned a lot of the QLD selections to be honest.

                      - Reece Walsh at fullback, Fidow at centre and Holmes on the wing seems like a no brainer to me. Walsh is so fast and has so much x-factor that he's someone you definitely have to pick if available, Shibasaki has been good for the Broncos but debuting in game 3 of an Origin decider when you could've had Fidow there? Nah. Even Walsh at 14 would be very worrying for NSW, that's a massive out for QLD.

                      - Josh Papalii seems kind of out of nowhere, I've seen him playing well for Canberra and he could've maybe made a bench spot based on that form and experience but starting prop? I'm not so sure that's the answer either.

                      - Feel really bad for Corey Horsburgh because this has been a career best year for him and he seems like the perfect Origin player so why not pick him? In my opinion he's better than every QLD prop except maybe Tino.

                      - I do question if Kurt Mann is their best utility option as well, I like Kurt Mann but he's not really going to break an Origin game open or make a huge impact.

Hahaha me either but I’m sure I ordered some Shibasaki Chicken at a restaurant in Tokyo before.

Shibasaki appears to be quite aggressive. He'll be playing opposite Stephen Crichton which makes for an interesting battle.
