I found The General very entertaining. Choose your words wisely or get your marching orders.

T.T was a master at it.

Sonny thinks he's back in league already, back to back shoulder chargers (lucky only one was noticed or he'd be yellow carded) for the Chiefs.

Bloody funny stuff mate! Along with filthyralph we will all just have to wait for the SBW Express to take off. The pies will be put on hold in the mean time.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.

I honestly hope I am proven wrong but I really dont think it will be the case. There are waaaaaay toooo many factors that all add up to a big pile of stiking shit about the whole thing.

Being serious here filthy, surely these people (Nick & Co) who are behind trying to sign SBW believe that it will be for the good. Way to many factors that all add up to a big pile of stiking shit about the whole thing, I think is jumping the gun.

At the end of the day it is the best for the Roosters that we only sign him to a 1 year contract, we definately need a big game player who can play it tough in the forwards & he was the best before he switched to play rugby.

I know this wont mean much to you but I will tell you anyway, I have a work mate Hus he is a Aussie born Lebanese guy who is a Muslim, he is a lovely bloke anyway he trains at a gym in Rockdale called Hardcore Gym, in the same complex Kosta Tsyzu has a boxing gym were SBW has trained so everyone who go's there has seen or had contact with Sonny including Hus & from what he says Sonny is a very loyal humble devoted Muslim who is not a money hungry Judas.

SBW could make alot more money playing French & Jap rugby & boxing in between. I believe if SBW signs on to play with us he will give his all & will want to prove his doubters wrong.

His last NRL move in the NRL contradicts this. I still reckon there is too much wrong with this on many different levels and seeing as we have been over and over this over the past few months, I am not going into it all again. I will simply say this...

But I totally agree about the coaches in the sense that they are a massive part of the whole set up of an NRL franchise. Because the NRL has only been full time professional for what 15 years, being a full time coach is still a reasonably new role, there is a few of the 16 FG coaches who have advanced more than others.

With there role being full time they (the good ones) ananlyse the game like a professor analysis his specialty. I think Bellamy dedicates more time to football than anyone else in regards to analysing the game. The way the game is played by 14 of the 16 teams today is based on Bellamy's model, the Dogs are the exception & thats because they have Hasler who IMO puts in like Bellamy does.

Bennett no matter what anyone says knows how to coach. So for me they are the top 3 closely followed by Anthony Griffin & IMO Ivan Cleary. It's hard to judge whether Shane Flannagan is a top coach or not having Carney in your side can have any coach looking good. I actually think all the good smart coaches need good players to get the results but it's Bellamy & Hasler that can get the best out of what others think are ordinary players, continually.
I don't dislike the cap, I would prefer that the cap does more to reward clubs that have long serving players and those that have developed players since juniors. This needs some overhaul of the junior classification so that all clubs have a relative share of access to juniors. I hate the fact that grand final teams are torn apart due to salary cap constraints. Shouldn't it be the objective of all teams to improve their performance to beat last years champs?

I agree with you the primary purpose of the cap is to prevent the better resourced clubs from pillaging the poorer clubs and stockpiling rep players. I am led to believe, but wouldn't know, that the brown bags are alive and well in the game but clubs are also resorting to other means of getting an advantage. This includes coaches, specialist training facilities and injury management techniques. Manly's "calf blood injections" are really nothing more elaborate than the use of exercise physiologists who use more science in optimising the players preparation.

Also, I much prefer a points system rather than a pure dollar basis. If the ARLC are concerned about clubs living within their means there are much more practical ways of monitoring finances than tracing player bank accounts. If the Bulldogs want to pay Corey Hughes $1 million a year, then it's their own stupid decision but shouldn't be able to go out and pillage another club, just because they can.
