There has been a lot of positives that many have already mentioned, here are some of mine:

    - The rise of the young players who many of us had no idea about as the season kicked off. From Robert Toia getting Origin call up to Nawaqanitawase becoming one of the most exciting backs in the league to Billy Smith remaining injury free to Whyte, Ioelu, Hugo, Wong, Steep and others who have really played well and added a lot to the Roosters.

    - Most of our experienced players are firing as well, Tedesco is still showing he's one of the best fullbacks in the world, Connor Watson has been great at hooker which adds so much next season when he's back to being our utility again, the others have all seemed to be playing better than previous years also.

    - The recruitment seems better and smarter this year also, Robson is a huge pick up for us next year, we are probably a half and a forward off being a premiership favourite for 2026, we've done well in re-signing key players also.

    - And last but not least, our ladder position! It wasn't looking too good to start the year and it was looking like we might be bottom 4 bound but instead we're in the 8 at around the midway point of the season.

My biggest positive so far this season is the future for our club thru our development, retainment and recruitment. Proof our system is working

Tedesco's leadership and mentorship has been A class.
His self belief and determination is to be applauded also, considering his disappointment at losing his position and captaincy at both state and national level.

May our inspirational leader play on for a few years and nurture his successor - perhaps Rex.

Whyte !!! Imagine if Lindsay & Spencer helped him
Mark- literally played a handful of games, sensational
Releasing Dom Young, strong enough to see that he showed zero improvement with us so cut ties earlier than I thought they would

It’s clear now why May, Smith and Young did not fit into the future plans and we are now reaping the benefit of some hard decisions

The NRL heirarchy and media pushing Teddy out of rep football, even though he's the number 1 fullback, allowing him to concentrate exclusively on the roosters. They didn't mean to, but they did us a solid favour there.

Really enjoying this season and watching the growth of the youngsters and as I said earlier in the year give them another couple of pre seasons and 50 games under their belt and we have got the makings of a title team. Another positive is we are one year closer to the retirements of Klein and Sutton which I'm counting down like a NASA launch.

Top of the list has to be the performances of the young players, specifically Foketi, Toia and Savala.

coming into the season the big worry was how we'd go without sammy. hugo's been the man for the moment
