    what a shame
It's a tax payer funded ground available to all so Souths will in time will be playing there as well - It's a matter of time and when and not if

If being a tax-funded ground is the main criteria, then the Vermin can move to Bankwest (Parra Stadium) or the new one in Penriff when it gets completed.

As phone chucker has previously stated, most of their fans now live out west!

sure, albo made some public comments in favour of souths moving to allianz but who knows what went on behind the scenes. could be that he was concentrating on running the country (and winning an election) and let the process take its course.
        Excellent post.
Good to keep the far right dribble at Sky News, a happy symbiotic relationship for the befuddled.

How grand it was to see them play last night in that desolate atmosphere.

Suck it up Solly and co.
Turkeyneck Richardson sold their fans down the river years ago on the pretence that the fan base was predominantly west Sydney based. Now, they're using the notion they want to play closer to their heartland. Bwhahahahaha!

What fan base;? Perhaps their fan base isn't as big as they like to claim. They never lead the average home attendance numbers each season.

And I don't think you necessarily have to be alive to be a member. I'm not sure about deceased pets.

According to a DT article today the state govt's decision is not being accepted by Souths.
They want to know how the govt arrived at its "would cost the govt too much if Souths moved from Accor to Allianz."
Souths want a 25 yr contract at Allianz and "have 1 Prime Minister, 2 very powerful billionaires, and a Hollywood star ready to exert influence to make it happen."
"Souths fans could march in the streets if they're denied."

I note that this article portrays the situation as being driven by those evil Roosters, especially Nick Politis. The fact is that the NSW government has an obligation to the sponsor of Accor Stadium which has paid big bucks to have its name associated with the games played there. Obviously, Uncle Nick doesn’t want the place infested by vermin, but it is not the Roosters that are stopping Souths from dishonouring their contract at Accor.

Let them march in the streets. How pathetic would it be to see this bunch whining about how mistreated they are when the world is facing so much real human tragedy.

They can play there once a year. They should be happy with that.

                          Correct.

In fact, in a few months time they will have the privilege of playing on our hallowed turf to celebrate Sydney based Indigenous Magic Round.
Roosters will be playing Dogs on Fri 15/8.
                          Souffs vs Parra Sat 16/8
                          Tigers vs Manly Sun 17/8

I had a good lol@$ouff$ today. A fellow Easts supporter sent me a link to a wee.change online petition requesting the Houses of Parliament grant them access to play at Allianz. The comments fof the low thinkers riddled in jealousy and indicative of a victim mind set. Im grateful to them in showing me how not to be.
