Any and every club would do what it takes to win a premiership, including "buying" one. Of course in the salary cap era (in spite of the dumb insinuation that we are somehow the only club sneaky enough to cheat it), it's not very easy to do so. I still think it's preposterous having a salary cap whereby gambling companies and that disgusting fat reptile Vlandys are free to make unlimited millions from the NRL (in addition to all the other sources horse racing officials surreptitiously collect), while the elite NRL players are capped at $1 million or so per year. Compare that to soccer, baseball, golf, tennis.

But I'm with you about DCE. He is no SBW or Cooper Cronk.

I've said before, it makes no sense. Politis has been screwed countless times by players and coaches reneging on handshake deals.

If it bothers him so much, give DCE a job picking up glasses in the club for 1.2 million per year. It wouldn't come under our salary cap, would be perfectly legal and wouldn't screw up our club.

I agree he has been poor this year but worth a roll of the dice if he's keen and not looking for a huge salary. As a former Australian and QLD rep and only being 23 years old you'd think that at some point he'll turn things around and potentially become one of the best wingers in the game again, would love to see him do that here especially since he can cover every part of the bacline.

I've read he wanted 900k at the start of this year, 650k a year is too expensive also, I'd roll the dice at 500k or less but not a dollar more.
