Not much of a spectacle..Origin has lost a fair bit of its shine imo.

Even the commentators were struggling for excitement towards the end.

Something like 15 penalties combined, felt like heaps of 6 agains & a pretty scrappy 2nd half.

Anyway no chooks injured which is the main thing.

Calling it now - Qld will lose game 2, Sammy Walker will have been back for a couple of weeks and they will rush him in for Game 3 in an attempt to build for the future.

Thought he defended well and 15 runs for 140mtr
and a good kicking game for Lomax
obviously the goal kicking was off but lucky it didn’t matter this game

I think he a Moses can improve combos still for the next game

Looked very clunky at the game, and thought he put in a really poor 4th tackle kick that found the winger on the full from memory, and completely shanked one in the first half. For his level, he does continue to not have a large imprint on origin games imo.

If not this year then definitely next. The QLD spine long term should be Ponga, Dearden, Walker and Grant

Also said this to someone at the game. Also queried whether Slater would be sacked if they lose 3-0.
Won't happen in a million years, but with Walsh and Ponga both out of form, I would've been tempted to put Munster at 1, Dearden and DCE in the halves and Grant at 9. Some argument that on current form, it upgrades both 1 and 6.

It was a miserable night if you are a Queenslander.
The QLD pack got dominated, with only Tino and Fotuaka making any impression. The rest of the Wld forwards were sh%t.
The QLD spine of Munster, DCE and Ponga never created anything and never threatened.
                They are shot ducks.
The whole NSW pack deserves credit, with the bench forwards contributing to the win.
In the backs, Lomax and my MOM - Stephen Crichton- were huge.

We’re not linked to signing them so don’t really care about them that much haha.

that being said all the halves were pretty average that game other than Cleary’s running game

Yes I would agree not his best performance

tbh the game in particular 2nd half I thought was very average from both teams
a lot of errors and Qld created nothing
if nsw were on they could have put 40 on

Not sure what the big excitement is about Cameron Munster’s game,I’ve never been a fan..

I nearly fell off my chair after hearing Meninga this week call Munster “one of the best footballers he’s ever seen”…Please

                          He’s very unorthodox player
plays what’s in front of him
I rate him but also bellieve he is very inconsistent - a lot between his best and worst hands

It was nice to see Klein not falling for Grant and Munster's nonsense, the amount of rubbish these two get away with week after week in a Storm jersey is unbearable. The second things get tough they resort to every dirty trick in the book and it generally works, not last night for the flat track bullies.
