Congrats to the Blues. Daley got the team he wanted and they repaid him with great defence and fitness against fatigue. It was there for Qld to win but their polish in attack just wasn't quite there. Lomax was outstanding.

Thought young Bobby Toia bested Latrell in the personal battle. And what a ball from Connor for the clincher.

Great win in the end. I thought NSW was clearly the best team but was a bit worried QLD would pull off one of those late comeback victories. Great pass from Connor for that last try. Toia had a solid game. We’ve got another good one.

Qld's spine bar Ponga were absolutely clueless all game, they never really felt like scoring.

Odd game poor 2nd half from both teams

haas, Lomax best on ground - both nsw wingers made well over 200mtr which was huge

seemed nsw played a high completion game - and held their 14 point win for most of the game

angus was great made 160mtr - hopefully continues the form
Leniu and Watson were solid but also will be fresh for us - thought Watson could have come on earlier
Collins was solid for limited minutes
enjoued watching toia - great tackling technique unfortunately DCE gave him no ball

If the blues click in game 2 they should whitewash the series easily

I would have given it to 'the gifted one'. Not just the aerial skills, but his physicality and intent from the get go was huge.

I don't think Sandon has thrown more bad passes than DCE did ever. Even with great players around him he had nothing. I hope they pick him again for game 2.

Toia can hold his head high. Great defence. Kept Trell pretty quiet. Made a couple of great runs.

Our players should be fresh for Sunday. Gussy can take the night off if anyone.
