With old Daly Cherry-Evans heading to the Roosters, we’re hearing Anzac Day medallist Sandon Smith will quit the Chooks at the end of the season. His likely destination is the North Queensland Cowboys. It comes after another outstanding performance from halfback Hugo Savala and five-eighth Smith against Cronulla on Saturday which had everyone in rugby league asking why the Roosters would bother signing Cherry-Evans, who turns 37 in February.
I think regardless of DCE, Sandon Smith probably would have left anyway, particularly due to the form of Savala. I’d rather us not get DCE however it’s looking more and more like the deal has been done.
And that's without mentioning Rodwell, who might be ready in 2yrsEmbrace the Hate! JC

Townsend, Young, May now Sandon. Now old man DCE. It seems recruitment have gone crazy or are just plain senile and haven’t got a clue. Who’s making these wild decisions to buy players only to be in a hurry to transfer them and getting rid of good investments like May and investing instead in the most expensive has been on the market? Whoever is making these decisions is making us look like the laughing stock of the NRL. Who will want to come to Easts knowing anytime they could be dumped and sold? We are now the transit lounge of the NRL.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

The Roosters buy less players than most clubs year in year out.
As for May, I'm happy that he's at the Wests Tigers.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
