We live in hope it is a decent back.
Ideally a 5/8th.
Heavens knows something good has to come of all this crap!
Most likely it is Oldfield to Roosters before June 30.
That is possibly the only good news to come our way for the transfer window....

What Parra giveth mid 2011 the Roosters give away in mid 2012 - Ant was a mid season purchase in 2011 as it was. So this is his 3rd club in 12 months. Hopefully he can settle in back home for longer than 12 months at a time.
I can see this giving an opportunity to Glenn Dumbrell to play a little first grade or more opportunity for Dan Mortimer to play a utility role.
NCSupporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

What I am struggling to understand is, why on earth did we play Sam Perret and Anthony Mitchell yesterday when we were going to release them this week ?? What was the point of it ?! We might as well thrown the younger guys in there to get some experience or brought someone like J Carney and Takarangi back in FG.
Sometimes the decisions this club makes is just ludicrous. Politis, Noyce and Smith need to get their act together ASAP or we going to become the joke of the comp aka Souths, very soon

Perret was woeful yesterday. Totally un-interested and useless in both attack and defence. Whoever gave the okay for those two to play should be released mid-season as well.
Anthony Mitchell is a good bloke. He was great for the Jets. They will miss him sorely for the rest of the season.Member 2008 - forever

Confirmed Anthony Mitchell gone
SYDNEY Roosters hooker Anthony Mitchell has become the lastest NRL player to make a mid-season switch, leaving the Bondi club for the Cowboys.
The Roosters said today they had granted an immediate release to the 23-year hooker, who has signed with the Cowboys until the end of next season.
Mitchell has played 16 games for the Roosters this season and a total of 24 games for the club.
He joined the Roosters midway through the 2010 season from Parramatta.
Sydney Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce said: “A Townsville Brothers junior, we are aware of Anthony’s ties to far north Queensland and recognise that this is a wonderful opportunity for him to go home to his family and secure his future.
“Anthony has been a terrific ambassador for the Sydney Roosters both on and off the field in his time with the club and he leaves with our best wishes for the future.”
North Queensland general manager Peter Parr said:
“We’re very happy to be able to attract a former North Queensland junior like Anthony to the Cowboys.”
“With the long-term injury to James Segeyaro, Anthony will give us some much-needed depth in the hooker position.
“We think he will feel right at home here with us.”

An intelligent, premiership winning coach would see he's best choice for 5/8th.
Even if it is an English premiership.
