  • Teddy’s leadership

He’s growing as a leader this year game by game.

IMO if Teddy doesn’t play we lose. Think in the last 2 years he has really improved.
    EASTS TO WIN!

Was a bit worried the way he grounded the ball for his try .... they often pop a shoulder the way he scored. But he was all good there, though he was throwing up when he got back down our end for the kick off !

he's always been a good leader.
interesting he said in an interview that when playing with inexperienced players he's now just concentrating on his own game. tbh i think he's always been great but he's got to take some credit for the young guys delivering on the big stage

Who's our captain when he retires?

              I'd go with Walker.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

He definitely found his voice in the post match comms last night. I thought he spoke impressively and I’ve always judged him as a bit of a dill.

he’s always been a bit guilty of trying to single handedly win matches, even back at the Tigs. As he’s matured that’s gone out of his game and the team overall plays better

The elephant in the room is the fact that by rights we shouldn't have had Teddy in the side tonight - he belonged in the NSW team as he has been the best fullback all year, and by a long margin.

The bias and poor judgement by the bogans running the NSW team is their loss and our gain.

Teddy has grown immensely as a leader and Trent as his coach can take a lot of credit for that. Together they are a great team helping to develop and mentor a group of very talented young players. It’s very exciting times to be a Roosters supporter. We have our own Craig Bellamy. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

100%. I was saying this to my family during the game. He is a far better fullback than Edwards. He should still be the Australian captain. It’s a disgrace how he was treated by NSW and Meninga.

Yep, and you watch most of the media outlets (and Reddit) absolutely rave about Edwards no matter how he plays in Origin. They have to because they’ve been calling for Teddy’s head for a number of years.

It was like them saying how much of a difference Edwards made last year, when Teddy was in a 12-man side for 70 minutes.

This year, Teddy is the best fullback and daylight second. No worries though; we definitely needed him during the origin period. Hopefully Dylan carves up so they don’t consider replacing him.

Amen...but, the selfish part of me is happy they didn't take him for Origin...and we got to play him v Sharks.

With Yeo & Cleary being selected, they were always going to stick with Edwards for the combination. It sucks, because Teddy is light years ahead of him this season.

                              Teddy first
                              paps 2nd
then turbo if he was in form otherwise Edwards next

place Edwards in any other footy team he is just an ordinary fullback
