I almost started a thread but who needs another DCE thread.
This group of young players coming through are special! We need to invest heavily in our youth and not some Manly reject who's looking to top up his super for a year and then p*ss off. I'm quietly confident that the club will make the right decision.
Couldn't give a rats if DCE becomes an immortal or moves to Barcelona for all I care. It's nothing personal!Last edited by Bates; 05-24-2025, 11:23 PM.

That was one of the best Roosters wins I have witnessed.
A heroic defensive effort from the kids in the engine room.
Inspired by Rads in defence, and Teddy in attack.
Dont need DCE’s kicking game, when we have Savala’s
Thought Dom had a pretty good game- the knockers should keep quiet for a week.
Keep the kids, and watch a new Roosters dynasty unfold.
For the vanquished , I thought KL Iro gave us plenty of bother- he’s a big, fast and elusive unit.

I get what your saying and it won't happen over night. The polish will come with more games, hard work and the right environment.

Young guys put their stamp on this game. We don't need to go to market to buy anybody.
Great to see these young blokes taking their opportunities and just having fun.
What Gummies excuse just about at full strength.
For and against got a nice boost.

Just go out and try to put another 20 points on the board.
We shut shop against the Bulldogs in the second half and got punished.

High set completions are paramount, as we saw last week in the second half vs the Dogs with the Roosters up 14-0.
The Roosters lost possession on the first tackle and gave the Dogs an extra set on multiple occasions and eventually these errors (weight of possession) caught up with the Roosters D in defending these errors. Teams are unable to defend multiple sets continuously as, eventually, the opposition will capitalise on them as the Dogs did.
In this Roosters vs Sharks match, as per the NRL stats, both teams had the same number of sets in the match and each half - 40 each for the match, which is a very rare occurrence. The Sharks completed only 2 more sets in the match than the Roosters.
