Sandons game last night sucked. He took over the kicking role. Tried and failed with the short game. When hugo did have a kick it was under pressure. Whats the go with no pressure on their backs recieving our kicks and no pressure on their kicker

Both Sandon and Hugo came through the Roosters pathways and played as the halves combo so have the partnership already in place.
If you think that is far fetched think Dom Young -The Roosters went all out to sign him- The dinner at Robbo's and the hard sell to sign him - make him into a centre and what not.
18 months down the track he's shown the door.
Hugo made 45 tackles vs Knights - can you ever imagine Sam Walker making such numbers as a number 7 - not at all.
One hopes they do no make a major mistake and sign DCE - they do not need him at all.
How is Sandon a far better goal kicker?
in 2024 Walker kicked 88 goals for 82%
and in 2025 Sandon has kicked 41 goals for 83%
You can’t split them in that department.
Walker is a weapon, he will remind you of that in a couple of months.

Just want to point out that Hugo broke the NRL record for most tackles in a game by a halfback last night - made 45 (missed 3)
The Knights had a plan to run Lucas at him all game - it paid off for them early, but otherwise he held his own.

He is a gun, lock him up forever now.
Well, until the end of 2027 at least...on a lot more than 80k.
Because, if I'm boss of another club and I'm looking around for players to lift my club's place on the ladder, my eyes stop on Hugo.
He's shown enough in first grade to prove he's the real deal.
We need to pay him well enough, treat him well enough, and make sure we keep him.
...or someone else certainly will!
