    Stupid decision.
He had an extension, will develop fine.

Is Leo Thompson in the wings......even so I'd prefer to have kept May.

    Disappointed to put it mild.

JAC gaaaawn... Burgess' trick of doing an independent drug test once his system's clear didn't work for him.

Straight swap for Burton would be nice.

Major new signing...dunno, could be a case of bigger than expected upgrades to keep our younger roosters from the clutches of others.
Hope he doesn't end up at the Bunnies, could come back to haunt us.

That’s 6 from the 17 and $4m worth or players so a 1/3 of the cap gone for next year with a couple of signings (Marky ! $500k and $300k Townsend and some larger contract upgrades) but gee we have some cash to spend next year still
I like May has he had another point of difference to the other front rowers, he was opposite to a Leniu quick steps and bash and crash having footwork and ball playing skills as well! And a big motor with long minutes! Had good offloading and ball playing skills and got dirty when he needed to
Seemed a smarter front rower who read the game and play well
    at 25 hitting his prime

I thought he was pretty ordinary in the back half of the season. When we needed him to step up as a starting prop he didn't produce.

Whyte has gone past him in my opinion.

Bloody hell we’ll be skinny up front next year. May was pretty solid this year without being a superstar. He was reliable and added some size to the pack, but if he’s had some “issues”, so be it. I always felt he was playing well within himself and was really looking forward to him stepping up to replace the Big Dog. We look like having the smallest pack in the NRL next year. I just hope that we don’t have Nat or Egan Butcher in the prop rotation next year; that will be a disaster in what’s shaping up to be a very ordinary season.

Agree but Collins issues weren’t due to attitude or effort

Wtf this is massive we have only just re signed him
and $450k a season would have been a great deal for the chooks over the next 2 years as he improved and potentially gained an origin spot
if true one can only presume it’s off field behaviour
well we can put the Taylan May theory to bed
I did see last week about a player in a team going into a big semi final game was at the pub during the week! And said minimal chances left and I though of Brendon smith (even though he wasn’t playing) but now this could have been Terrell may
And this would make sense as the roosters have the no alcohol policy a month or so out of finals

not sure yet but huge considering we have lost 5 of our 17 and jwh allready in the front row
it’s ballsy from the roosters as well but no one is bigger then the club
it’s a shame as I reckon he will be a very good prop and playing origin potentially next year - we could have had a bargain on $450k which is just the average nrl wage now

Doesn't fit the direction of the club is spot on. May is a rising star while Easts are going backwards.

Happy to be proven wrong but from what I’ve seen MEH!

He must have done something or is offside with the club for some reason.
I MAY be the only one who agrees with you about his form this year. Didn’t understand the hype. There have been rumblings about him not gelling with us for a year or two now. Better to part ways than end up with a mess like St George
