No idea if there are any off field issues, but on field his goal line defence was ****ing abysmal. Way too many missed assignments for my liking.
when you consider defence is 80% commitment and 20% technique, being that bad kinda points to problems at training so it makes sense to me.
that being said, our front row stocks are bloody terrifying next season. We have Collins, who only put in this season when wearing a rep jersey. Leniu, who gases after 15 minutes. Then who? ****ing Butcher??

How's the last 5yrs gone with that?
It's not 2013 - 2019 anymore.
After the 2010 GF debacle I was convinced that I'd never see us win another premiership in my lifetime.
Enter Trent and we won in 2013...then 2018, and b2b in 2019.
Last 5 years?
Given the duly noted "circus music and streamers", he/we have done quite well given the exit of so many stars in that time.
Want him to win the comp again? Get him better players.
Big forwards, big backs, big halves...Cleary is big, Freddy was big, Cronk was big enough, Sam Walker is getting big enough, we need a big 5/8.
We're still rebuilding...but despite that we finished 3rd this year.
Storm run out, big/muscular players.
Panthers run out, ditto.
Roosters run out, smaller team unable to tackle the bigger teams.
Big team 1st
Big team 2nd
Smaller Roosters team 3rd.

Whyte has gone past him in my opinion.

How can the club tell him to leave for 2025, considering they just extended his contract this year? I’d guess it’s because he’s in-demand and would probably get more money at another club.
On his form, he was awarded the RLPA Impact Player of the Year. That’s a good award to win.
His best asset is his endurance but he never really consistently punched through the line liked I hoped he would.

but I liked how was is different to Leniu and Collins and gave as the 4th option with Whyte next year in the rotation
this year he still made 27 appearances and even though 19 from bench
made 3000mtr at 110mer average in 40 min a game, 1100 PCM which was 4th for chooks, 64 tackle breaks, 40 offloads and 27 tackles a game! 98% tackling and 6 tries
I think he went well
