Makes it all the much stranger given he is signed on unders realistically. $475K for a prop like him is a bargain imo. I cant make sense of it.

This whole saga also has the potential to build mistrust within the playing group after seeing this done to one of the players. Don't like it personally.
    Fark Gussy
who gives a toss about what he thinks of our activities. He is smart but he is also an arse and is our enemy.

May has performed very well. We resigned him on an enhanced deal that most of us sweated on and celebrated. To then have this vague explanation for a major player move is actually disappointing. Front row stocks much weaker now.

That article by Angus certainly adds to the speculation of it being a very strange move by the club.

That little quip about "not heading in the same direction whatever" doesn't cut it as an explanation to fans.

He will certainly be gladly snapped up by eager clubs.

    I agree
    don’t understand it at all
like you mentioned we have him for unders like it’s not like a Napa situation where we realised we payed overs - and he hasn’t done anything wrong in the past - just his bros so he is a cleanskin atm
all though club coming out saying he doesn’t fit our culture is odd

also that we need to let players go to sign someone we have so much cash with so many players going we don’t need to move anyone on to get another player

shame as the forward pack looked like our main strength next year but he going creates a big hole
hoping it’s just a rumour and it blowes over

Probs not as lunatic as keeping him if there has been some issues.

    The Ponga play seems inevitable.

But we still need dynamic forwards.

We can't just go out and buy Penrith's pack. Even if we could, we attempted something like that with the Bulldogs 20 years ago and we know how that went.

Our club is a worry ATM.

Yeah no way Dogs are under not with their signings of high profile blokes plus every utility that came on the market.

I'm wondering if they try snatching Hunt then Leo Thompson from under Goulds clutches. Please no JAC

Getting the feeling something's in the woks cause dumping May is outta left field.

The club is freeing up money to purchase " tackling bags ". Everyone on here saw what was dished up during our dismal and pathetic semi final campaign.

At this stage - 2025 is going to be " challenging ".

A BIG no to Ben Hunt for me. He seems like a trouble maker. He is no Cooper Cronk. Look how Robinson's ' silver bullet ' signing of Brandon Smith has worked out. Guys like C Cronk are very far and few between.

    Anyway let's see what happens.

Been our most improved player over the last two years - a bloody shame if true as he has X factor - be a great pick up for Sowfffs unfortunately
