Terrell May approached to leave

Cowardly of Easts to wait until May is overseas to do this to him. Cowardly of Easts to remain silent, waiting for May to say something first, so they can then respond as the aggrieved. Hope May collects his pay, his extension money and puts his feet up for a bit. Well done to Gus for standing up for his mate.

so can only assume there is a story of some sort bubbling away in the background?
In saying that he seems caught off guard by the decision.

Have we?[/COLOR]
One thing is for sure. We are really light for props now. Especially during the origin period.

Tigers resigned Sullivan now letting go. Different I guess that he didnt play a whole heap of 1st grade.
Could May have asked for more feeling he was getting unders .....but why sign the extension ?
Weird.

If we needed money for a big signing it may make sense but we have a lot of cash to spend - and allready loosing 5 of our 17 making another go who is just hitting his prime at 25 and two regular seasons in first grade is odd! Especially when $450k his value for money is really good
unless we snag a Tino / Haas type of player I’m concerned
I'd love to be inside the four walls that made this decision.

We must be chasing a signing, but even if we get Ben Hunt I'm not sure if we are in a better position now. Prop rotation is very light, especially when you consider Collins & Spencer are away for the middle part of the year with origin.

Whilst he is on good wages by the club Gus should pull his head in, the wheels are wobbly enough at the moment, maybe he should reflect how he and his mates folded so meekly in the finals.
As baffling and disappointing losing May is...he's gone, someone else steps up.
The old adage of cemeteries full of people who couldn't be replaced will ring its hollow tune.

Makes it even more baffling given Gus has come out and said that. Doesn't mean his word is gospel but you'd think if something has gone on off field, the club would be pulling the reigns in on our players saying anything about the situation.
Absolutely baffling. There are literally a dozen people who are better off leaving the club than big Terrell. I have a feeling it's because our guru of a coach doesn't know how to communicate with a bloke as black and white as May. He comes across as somewhat aloof and basic in his opinion on the game. The opposite of Robbo who can talk underwater and would show his working out for a 2+2 = 4 equation. I know out of the 2 who performed their role better last year.
