Gee whiz getting rid of May? Attitude the issue? If that’s it that can be fixed his attitude on the field sure doesn’t back this up he’s the best we got up front and we’re moving him on wow!

They give 100% of what they have every time that are on the field but May seems solid without pushing himself. May doesn’t run with the purpose off the back fence like Spencer does and he doesn’t fold blokes in half like Smith does. He’s missing the mongrel edge and just does what he has to do without really pushing himself to fight for that last millimetre. Culture comes from blokes like JWH who will go into places that others fear to tread and do anything for the team.
Spencer has 2-3 good runs in him then he is gassed. He is what we call a flat track bully.

And please don’t mention culture and Spencer in the same breath especially in light of the events at the start of the season.

May will get plenty of demand and paid more then what we have offered but he also has the option to dig in and put in hard

in just worried there are to many chefs in the kitchen trying to make decisions
Apprentice chefs at that. We all know of Easts players current and past doing far far worse than having a perceived negative influence on younger Polynesian players (like Wielder states). The question is, who leaked this storyline to Weidler, Easts (who have a direct line to him or May (overseas and rarely speaks at all). We know why this storyline was leaked- to let us know, it was May's fault the Polynesian players like Wong didn't step up this year not "super coaches."

We must be chasing a signing, but even if we get Ben Hunt I'm not sure if we are in a better position now. Prop rotation is very light, especially when you consider Collins & Spencer are away for the middle part of the year with origin.
Just on Ben. He and lomax carried merge with help from sui and sulo. Been thinking. ben for 2 yrs

"Doesn't run off the back fence or fold blokes in half". Either does Whtye, Watson, N Butcher, E Butcher, Walker, Manu, Cleary and a dozen other players. Most understand that not all players have the same role and offer a point of difference. May, unlike the 2 you praise, doesn't run out of puff after 20 minutes.

I guess we just have to see what unfolds with all this May talk, speculation and innuendo.

At this stage, 2025 will be challenging for the Roosters. I have no faith in Robinson. Sometimes I believe he thinks he is the ' Roosters '. Clearly he is not.

We’ve all seem what’s happened at the broncos when the ‘culture’ isn’t great at a club. From the sounds of it (and I have to admit being sucked into the rumours) Terrell hasn’t done anything bad. BUT…..if he has some bad habits and they are seeping into the team it has to be stopped otherwise we could see something similar to the broncos.

Maybe it’s a shot across the bow to the entire team that expected standards weren’t being met?

All of us complain about how the Bondi Wall has gone. The Bondi Wall is complete trust in your teammates and doing the 1%ters that set you apart from the opposition. This comes from a great culture. Kind of what’s happening at Penrith atm.

As much as I am sad that this might come at the cost of May, I do have to put my faith in three ex players that bleed RW&B and know what it takes to win. Apart from a blip at the beginning of Friends career not one of that 3 took a backward step and their results speak for themself. At this point that’s good enough for me.

The exit of Terrell May from the Roosters is the first public act from new director of football Mitch Aubusson. He didn’t act without coach Trent Robinson, but he was the driving force.

Rooster legends Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner have also been working on getting the culture of the club back on track. May did nothing wrong, but his attitude was not what the club wants.

And they didn’t like the impact that was having on others, such as Spencer Leniu and Siua Wong. It’s a significant U-turn for a club that has had its recruitment questioned since the signing of Matt Lodge.
Is this from Weedler or News Ltd? Very interesting and thanks for posting.

May comes across as indifferent with his "I could just as easily not play football" attitude. I can understand that would annoy the crap out of former senior players that still bleed RWB.

May's one of our most explosive forwards and he chose us over $$$ while saying he'd love to be a Rooster for life. Due to no fault of his own, his brother's now facing possible prison time, which would mess with his head. However he's gotten on with the job and is off playing for Samoa.

Why sign him for 2 years as part of a bidding war and then tell him to get farked? IMO the club should treat guys like him and Gus better. If you need some big money then make some big calls on guys like Cheese for under-performing. May's had no disciplinary issues and has earned his spot in the team. There's no replacements on the market and we need his services... quit the BS!

If three legends of club were in agreement he should be moved on, so be it.
Like most people I didn't understand why he had to go,

    Still sounds odd
from fighting to sign a player who is on the rise, played well and just re signed to allowing him to leave immediately without May actually doing anything really bad
especially when value for money he was a great signing
if its attitude I hope they at least tried to address this and talk to him about it instead of just shifting him off

well They better find a solution to replace him

it does raise concerns if he is turning other players off - may be why Wong was off this year and didn’t play much first grade

why isn’t Brendon smith on the chopping block then?

What was wrong with our culture? With the power brokers we have in the club, who would let it get off track?

I prefer the head coach making team decisions.
