Teddy is unlucky but with only 21 squad members hard to take another just fullback and not utility - must have been hard as he has been better then Edwards post origin - he dominates Edwards in most stats! But it’s Dylan’s time and I think it will do Teddy the world of good to have extra time off and no rep footy
watson a little unlucky but again hunt is a more back up half as they only have 2 so maybe that’s why hunt kept his spot

also good for Wong and Whyte to get some test footy minutes with Tonga and kiwis

Pressure is ramping up on Peter V’landys and the ARL Commission to intervene in the shocking omission of Dally M winner Olivia Kernick from the Jillaroos squad.

If he was using origin form to pick team - Murphy did not play origin or finals. Apps played all 3 but only played 2 games since and they were nothing special. Kernick played almost 70 minutes in all 3 games and was amongst the leading run meters. Since origin she won the dally m and played great in the finals. It looks like he was trying to find a reason to pick the other 2 instead of Kernick

what could donald have said when he phoned kernick? he said he told the incumbents what they needed to work on, but what does liv need to work on? make sure she has 11 on her back when she plays origin - merely starting doesn't cut it? win the dally m for centre? winning dally m for best second rower apparently doesn't mean you should be picked to play 2nd row - the crucial thing is your ability to play centre. improve her game? does she have to win the overall dally m by more points next year?

but when all is said and done selectors are always capable of making stupid decisions and would she swap her gf ring for selection? doubt it. good news is she's contracted for next year as are a few of our stars, including nasio whatever happened to her. i think davis and hall are the big 2 that aren't contracted

Teddy is still better than Edwards in almost every department. If Teddy played for the Riff, they'd be even stronger. Hopefully our gain long term as it gives him a much needed rest.

Kernick one is almost certainly a personal. She has POd the wrong person or something. No other reason she wouldn't get picked.

Another full off season for Teddy is good for us and at the back end of his career I imagine only good for him.

If Dylan Edwards played for any other team he wouldn’t even be up for consideration. Both Ponga and Teddy are superior fullbacks.

Mal Meninga got so many soft ball questions in that interview it was an embarrassment. Lost a series he shouldn’t have lost last season and laughed his way through a soft ball press conference after shafting his incumbent captain. No class.

Olivia Kernick is the best player in the NRLW - Tarryn Aiken was awarded player of the match but Olivia in my view was the player of the match in the NRLW GF.

Donald Duck the so called coach had this to say " "I've spoken to all the incumbents and obviously they are all disappointed. They all know what they have to work on to put their hand up for World Cup selection in two years time"

What else did Olivia have to do - peel the oranges at half time - mark the ground pre-match

I agree, this was worse than Teddys omission.
