Collins has never been great at starting prop hitups but is great at overall play (more like a backrower) Opposition number up on him and get under him (except when they hit him in the head) More comact props like JWH and Spencer are better suited to starting hitups. Now JWH is gone most of our props seem better suited to coming on after 20 minutes. May and Whyte are probably the best prospects for this role but arent making post contact meters like they used to. I hope we never have to use the Butchers as starting props.
