  • Front row 2025

Earlier this season I would have said this was our strongest position going forward. Now I'm actually a little concerned.

Collins - has gone backwards. Gets crunched every hit up, barely making a few metres. He does great clean up work but his primary role is to give the team go forward. Needs to start 2025 well.

Leniu - played strongly when he had a point to prove but did nothing after origin. Needs to time his runs a bit better, seems to check his run when receiving the ball. We need him to be our main metre eater going forward.

May - had a good season but I don't believe he is a starting prop. Seems to have more impact when coming off the bench.

Whyte - I think he could be the one that excells in this position. He seems to bend the line more than any other player. I actually think he should be starting at prop next year.

Va'a - has potential but still only a kid.

If Collins continues the way he finished last season we could have some issues with go forward. Can't rely on Tupou.to get us going forward.

I'd be starting May + Collins with Leniu and Whyte on the bench.

Egan Butcher will also be back, which is about as exciting as Nat as starting prop

Yep if the Butcher brothers are playing front row we're in trouble.

        I think like most Roosters fan's - 2025 = ' fingers crossed '.

I believe we need someone else with experience to help out up front.

I think Leniu was affected by SOO. It’s was his first series and he killed it. You could see how Teddy had a great end to the season as he missed Origin

It’s very concerning to think we are relying on what we currently have in the front row stocks to lead us forward next year..

As Vasco mentioned,Collins has really dropped off in form which is our biggest issue..

We need another mongrel type tackling machine forward to help out next year in my opinion, hopefully the Club can find one!

Please stop playing the Butcher brothers in the front row.

Collins is the key. He needs to be firing all season.

I’d love to see us go back to that style of play where we dominated in the forwards off the back of our defence and rolling up through the middle. Low percentage stuff until we hit the final third. Thats how premierships are won.

Leo Thompson would be an astute signing, but that would be for 2026. Leniu is a machine, just needs to turn 40 minutes in 55-60. Whyte is a PCM machine, defence needs work. Collins was never necessarily a metre eater, but in terms of effort there are few better across the nrl. May is good, and would have one of the best lungs in the nrl, I just wish he would run at the line a bit harder cause he is a big boy with a great offload.

I like Spencer’s attitude and commitment to the club, still think he is a way off the starting role, but what I didn’t understand was the 300k upgrade in the middle ofthe season? Was he only signed for two years and was open to negotiations in November?

Not a fan of Collins playing in this Pacific Nations Championship crap he needs some time away from rugby league collisions to get his head right from that concussion against the Storm.

It was a kneejerk response from the club. We gave him $850K a year, at the same time we were offering Walker $900K. All based off a few runs from the back fence against an bog average Dragons team. He was ordinary when starting and can't keep up in defence.

He is not worth $850k a year. If true. No way. Did nothing when we needed it in the semis. And of course he wasn't alone there.

How bad were Angus and Keary in the Storm semi. Holy s@#t.

Agreed. If anyone needs a long spell it's him.

                              Their defence was woeful.
