Good things happening in the junior grades around developement/recruitment and if he's earned this promotion because he's been at the heart of that (which it sounds like) then this is great news.

Always loved Aubbo. I’ve often wondered if he would have achieved more on the rep front if he was left to maximise his gifts in one position instead of plugging every hole that needed to be filled.

Congrats to him. I’m sure he’ll do a great job.

not saying he wouldn't have done well in origin but i thought his versatility was his selling point. not quite good enough to be a top rate centre or back rower - or whatever - but his talent was the ability and lack of ego to do what the team needed

In my time of following the Roosters I hold Aubo in high esteem as being the most complete footballer and team man much like John Brass and Horrie Hastings. His under rated tag often seen in the media was unworthy and unimaginative journalism. He was rated by those that mattered in his playing days and also evident of his appointment by Nick.
