What are your thoughts on Bevan French?

Awesome player, was disappointed that he resigned until 2028 when he had an opportunity to come back to Australia for 2025.

I wonder if we'll ever see another player like that in the NRL tbh though. 2 decades ago he would've been a star alongside Bowen and Preston but just seeing young Gray on the field for Souths last night I was absolutely shocked he's 170cm... genuinely dwarfed in comparison to the modern day players...

Ah serious ? I thought because Taylan May extended with Penrith, he might look elsewhere. Pretty sure, Alamoti was only in the long term plan if Taylan was on the move.

Once Bevan overcame his bad run of injuries he just took off.
Happy for him though and you never know what clauses players have inserted into their new contracts should opportunities arise in NRL.

Yeh was odd, pretty sure Alamoti extended by another year in Feb before the season even kicked off.

Maybe they’re looking to move Taylan back to the wing with Turuva departing.

There was Arthur Beetson in 1971 a washed up over weight forward who left balmain, joined Easts and under Jack Gibson became arguably the greatest forward the game has known. Could Robbo do the same for Latrell rejoining the Roosters? I think so.....

Give Josh Schuster a go for the rest of the year.

Train and trial for the year is a win / win.

                  He can’t defend.

Callum Gromek has been killing it in NSW Cup, came from the Illawarra local comp - 23 years old so not a pup

Primarily a fullback but potentially a wing option if Robbo puts Suaalii back into centre

Anyone know where Ethan King has been the last few weeks? he has been playing centre to accommodate Gromek

                      Mmmm....

His last 6 games for Manly, he had a tackle efficiently rating of 0.89

in comparison to Joseph Manu's last 6 games he is just 0.78

latrell's a great talent and on his day there's no one better in the nrl. but for all the hoopla around him you'd have to say that the move to souths hasn't worked out well so far. won't happen but if we could get him as a replacement for manu on less than 1m i'd take him in a heartbeat

We have Rob Toia and Billy Smith plus Marky Mark competing for the spots next season. Sure they are unproven and coming off injuries but potentially we have some future stars

We don’t need the culture killer. Look what he’s done to Souths.

He will be a cancer for whatever team signs him. His best is now well in the past.

Ethan King suffered a significant concussion in a round 2 NSW Cup match vs. Manly and was later injured at training when cleared to return to playing. He should be back in the next couple of weeks.
