and the fact teams always turn to shit after he leaves.

im upset but not that desperate just yet. plus not sure how many years he has left

It's interesting how most opinions change with the game's result. Variously against Brisbane and souths everyone praised our direct play and atlast having genuine speed on the wing, Dom Young.. Other times its the raw deal we get from the referees. Then there is our aged squad, and players aren't what they used to be(true). And the bad run of injuries(true) . And then it's the coaches fault....he's been here too long or he's lost the dressing room or these players who are past their best he should be able to make them perform. Posters were relieved to see the back of Ryles as an assistant and the arrival of Holbrook(good)

My take is that Trent hasn't forgotten how to coach and there have been discrete reasons why we have lost each match. Clearly the Storm are a good team and to be only beaten by 18-12 isn't such a bad result. Absolutely the storm had 2 tries which are without doubt no tries...the roosters with all the outs, not playing as good as they can play, were still v competitive. If we truly got a game without refereeing howlers , had a full strength squad and were still getting losses , I would be more concerned.

Gunja man It's not up to me obviously. Just pointing out how Robinson has turned us into a f$#%ing awful team and we need a completely different direction. Only a fool would disagree with that.

haven't read any of the posts sorry, but it would be better to get an influx of more positive fans onto this site than get a new coach. no doubt the existing ones love the roosters but some get overly upset when we don't win every game

                Stop right there.

We will never get an even referee performance.
We will never have a full strength squad.

                Thats the NRL way.

One problem is that we lack footballing IQ. Munster, Hughes and Grant are smarter than all our blokes put together. When we lost Aubusson, Cronk, Friend, Cordner and Brett Morris, we didn't just lose our hard edge and all that experience, we lost brain power as well. Smarts. It's hard to get back. I look through our squad and can't really find a smart player. Perhaps Keary. But what of all the others? I just don't see it. To win premierships you need those footballing smarts.

How do you get that back? Can you coach intelligence? Or do you have to buy it?

I've never seen a dumb team win a premiership.

I don't think the issue is Robbo, we still play strong footy, and the players do seem to react to him; I think our second half against the Bulldogs shows how Robbo still most likely can inspire. I think it's Robbo's indecisiveness to make the difficult choices. Keary has lost a step too many and is to slow to cause the defence any headaches, meaning Crichton is not as effective. The way he game manages really limits Walker's free flowing game. Sandon Smith is too good to be left at 14 or even on the reserves if Robbo goes with Watson, who in fairness has been good, and Sandon will soon realise this. Manu is taking up an offer he probably wouldn't have if Robbo pulled the trigger on him at fullback. Teddy is still good, but I don't think he's better than Manu anymore. A move to the centres could be an option. Similarly with Wong, who for no reason should've been dropped for Sitili or Egan. It's always seemed to be an issue that Robbo picks favourites and it was never an issue cause they were great for many years.

People who say that if we are to sack our coach there is no one to replace him have to remember that Robinson was a nobody coach when he took over in 2013, sure some knew he was a previous assistant but he didn't have a reputation for being a great coach.

The same thing happened at the Warriors, when Andrew Webster took over I thought the journalist from the SMH was having a go at coaching. Last year many people had the Warriors running last, but he had them running like Sam Moa did in 2013. He has them all playing above their best and he has Johnson playing like a 25-year-old.

IMO if Robinson isn't under pressure soon then maybe we need a new chairman too, Nick has never accepted mediocrity before, why is he now?

We haven’t had a halfback since Coops, we have retained the wrong players in the spine, Keary and Teddy were woeful, Keary has been dreadful for 18 months has a couple good games here and there he cannot manage a game to save his life or direct the team around the park, its pass first with him leaving no space for outside men.

When Cooper was there he was constantly barking instructions dare I say he was captain and coach Kez has lost it and the concussions have put fear on his mind his saving himself.

Teddy is not a captain plain and simple too often he makes the wrong decision be it hogging the ball or pushing the pass he has no composure.

Look at Jamal Fogerty at Canberra a nobody anywhere put him on a good side and controls the game been doing it all year.

Without going too in depth I would say Keary, Teddy & JWH have dropped off but we are talking players in their 30s, that could be natural deterioration rather than inability to get them performing at their previous levels.

Tupou, Billy Smith, Suaalii (winger), Walker, Collins, May, Whyte, Brandon Smith, Watson, NButcher and Radley for mine have all been in good recent form (last 10-15 games).

I agree we have some players are in their twilight and there are good signs with some form reversal this year with Rads, B Smith Crighton.
Those 3 players are elite level NRL players that have spent the last a couple of seasons nowhere near their best. It is encouraging to see them getting back to their best, but why is there such a great divide in their worst and best form?
Manu also can have a month off then come out and look like the best player in the NRL. Why can't Robbo get these guys up on a consistent basis?

He was super league coach of the year with a 60% win rate at Catalans before we signed him what do you mean he didn't have a reputation as a coach?

There seems to be a real team synergy issue and when it doesn’t go to plan individuals don’t perform well or try and overplay their hand
                                1. teddy was great the first month but again last night showed when he tries to hard he makes it hard for the backline to function well
                                2. Su has shown very little improvement - really a major over hyped kid - or does robbo lack of development to him also occur?
                                3. Manu - how does he get him more involved from centre each week
                                4. Keary - has lost it but robbo just keeps giving him the reigns
                                5. we need a good size ball carrying back rower
                                6. we need a half who will take on the line
the last 3 years seem to be spiraling down the same trend again
and yes either robbo is getting frustrated or he does have someone looking over his shoulder
he has a roster that everyone envies and atm can’t get them to fire consistently
