My main concern from the Penrith game was the difference in energy and intent from both teams to start the game,it was like chalk and cheese..

We were up and ready for the South’s game from the kick off,but off the pace against the Panthers..

That shouldn’t happen considering Cleary was out and we had the momentum from the week before!

There own fans are booing them off the ground and calling for Nathan to be booted back to reserve grade.

Every team goes through tough times especially with a young half still trying to find their feet.

      We will be ok.
Well said....and I don't think we are exactly going through "tough times" anyway. Look at a few other clubs.

You won’t see Roosters at their best until Collins and Leniu are both back. No way Penrith would have dominated us like that with those guys there. JWH can’t do it all on his own but add in the other two and we will compete with any team. Given even luck with injuries Roosters will be up there this year.

To suggest they are poorly coached is laughable but that’s just the usual attention seeking fools.

This is the problem with the Souths games though. The rivalry has gotten so big that it’s like playing two extra finals games every year. Inevitability there was a come down the week after the Souths game.

At this stage both clubs would be better off burying the book of fueds and just getting back to playing normal games against each other. The rivalry has gone too far and doesn’t do either club any good.

The had a narrow win against the dogs mate. They obviously didn’t have to play the premiers.

Sure. We all do. But it’s gone too far when you basically have to play a semi final in March cos both teams hate each other so much.

I betcha if coach and players could speak candidly on the subject they would say that there is too much riding on those games and it’s counter productive.

I know mate. You're right about the finals type intensity required to play those games and how it effects the players recovery but we shouldn't swap it for the world. I feel SO alive on game day when we play Souffs!

True... though they played the Bullflogs and almost lost. Whereas, we played Penrith.

Of course we will be up there you clown … that’s no revelation … we have the most stacked roster in league … and have had for a couple of years … the coach is average … and these are wasted years … Tedesco and Manu will soon be gone

That was 5 years ago … much has changed … Cleary is the benchmark coach now … our coach has gone backwards … 4th to 5th to 6th to 7th … despite having the most stacked lineup in league

My personal opinion was that there was a bit of an emotional hangover from the Souths game, especially with all the extra emotion around JWH's 300th game. Add to that we were missing Collins and his go forward and clean up in defence.

Unfortunately Kez came back into the team, and apart from the last 10-15mins he just goes sideways, doesn't engage the defence and puts the ball receivers under immense pressure with high risk passes. He also tends to overcall Sammy, and create confusion in the halves (often looking like a chook with its head cut off). It's no coincidence the week before with Sammy and Sandon our attack looked pretty good.

Also Egan Butcher is a reserve grader at best, there's no point running 100kph at the defence, if when you get to impact point your hands turn into flippers. Besides I feel Wong offers so much more to the team.

I would also drop Sitili back to the bench and use him as the damaging impact forward that he is, and bring Angus up into the starting lineup.

                            Just my 2c worth

The reason we have a good roster is BECAUSE OF THE COACH you absolute goose.

Unstable clubs with high turnover of coaches have to pay overs for good players and continue to suck. We aren’t stuck in that rut because we have stable coaching staff that players want to play for. Pretty obvious really.

Comparing Robbo to Cleary is laughable too. Cleary had a mediocre record and was well on the way to butchering the tigers roster before he got absolutely kissed on the d$&k by landing the panthers job. Obviously he’s done well there but it was all set up for him.

Poor old hutch had so many chances to level up the scores against Souths, and just kept coming up with duck eggs.

he had a 3 on 2 and decided to try and break the line with his speed, poor choice.

if we think losing to Penrith without Cleary was bad, heaven forbid if the “hutch” takes us down.

Will we win? If hutch is running the show, yes.
