Forwards win these games . Penrith have a great pack , that's why they are 3 on the trot. Not to mention the help they get from their outside backs coming out of trouble. They play a perfect team game with high intensity and a very balanced workload. Simple stuff but very effective

we have the personnel to match them but need to be at full strength and beat them at their own game

Gus has looked like a rep player again in his last 2 outings. He's making it look easy. He should start next week!

We needed Angus and JWH out there earlier in the second half. JWH only played about 20 minutes each half and Angus the last 26 minutes. They both straightened the attack more than the others. Angus has the best go forward of the 2nd rowers and was the only bench player to have an impact. I can't see Keary and Sualii working in attack against any good defensive sides and Keary needs a lot more help in defense than he's getting. Angus has to start on the left and play big minutes. We need Sandon Smith, Billie Smith and Lindsay Collins back ASAP. Collins should be back fairly soon but the others look like they wont be back until about the same time as Spencer Leniu. Its going to be a hard 5 or 6 weeks.

Keary is the sand in Walker's gears at the moment.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Keary is doing the same thing he has done the last few years. Runs sideways, goes for miracle plays, doesn't go to the line and has a terrible kicking game.
But, watching the game live Sam Walker still plays like it's his first year in the NRL. He is always off side, just does random things off the cuff like kicking the ball on 3rd tackle, his kicking game is also terrible and he has no organising skills.
Cheese, Teddy and Joey are all working overtime to create something because the halves always look totally lost.
Walker has been in the team long enough, we need a halfback, someone to steer the ship around the park. Keary doesn't want to do it and Walker can't do it. We need a halfback.

I’d say it’s more like Keary can’t do it and he won’t let Walker do it.

Keary is a bit gun shy these days with all the head knocks he has had I don’t blame him really not the player he was by any means now

Oh yes we did. I think the panthers made 19m more per set on av according to nrl.com.

Dylan Edwards ran 246 meters mostly from kick returns. Those meters are factored into the Panthers average metres per set so how does that in any shape way or form reflect on our forwards performance?

That's a good point, but I think the Penrith forwards were far more damaging in defence than ours were.

100% they were more damaging in defence. Our boys would be sore this week. Smith and Radley were the only two actually hitting hard.
