    Why the love?
Because he’s a grub & teams that win comps need grubs plus he can play & he’s tough.
True but not sold. I think people would complain that he and Walker are too similar before long.

Left Burton off cause he’s contracted until end of 2027, not that means a lot.

            Luke Brooks?

            I'm kidding...of course.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

              Burton is a myth
Dylan Brown, he just needs a good coach to help him find consistency.

Possibly Sam Walker with Sandon Smith organising the team at half?

History shows over the last 3 decades you need a runner and an organizer in your halves. In Keary and Walker we have 2 runners so unless Walker can further develop his organising abilities and take command of the team we are no chance of winning next years grandfinal unfortunately.

The way I would be going. Smith at 7 and walker as 6, Sandon has a decent kick in him

We won't be winning another premiership with Keary. His time has passed imo.

That’s exactly what I meant Mr Pie. Walker would be a great direct replacement for Keary.

I agree 100%. I worry that Teddy might be very close to his “use by” date as well.

The writing is on the wall with Keary. I hope the club doesnt make an emotional decision about resigning him past next season unless he is playing out of his skin.

I like how the club is blooding Sandon at hooker to get his defence up to speed in first grade. If he excels in the utility role next season I would be giving him the halves gig with Walker in 2025. We also have Toby Rodwell coming through the ranks who is an absolute star but it may be premature for him.

Apart from singing Cronk over the top of Pearce I can’t think of many examples where Robbo hasn’t stayed loyal to his squad - maybe smoke and mirrors but the public plan was to keep Pearce+Cronk and Mitch chose to leave.

Trent is a classy fella so it’s hard to tell. He has dropped guys to reserves and probably had the ‘Talk’ with ageing players to retire but pushing Kez ‘early’ doesn’t seem his go.

Am I forgetting examples? I’d welcome reminders

I'm hearing we are after Lachlan Galvin (Five-Eighth from the Tigers), to replace Kez in 2025.
