This is my concern. Clearys barely used him.

If it was a staring competition, he's one of the first picked.

I will say it again. We have a better team on paper than Penriff next year. This should be hurting us watching another team create a dynasty. We have been as close to irrelevant as you can in the last few premiership races and that's not good enough for us.

We need some luck our way with injuries, like Riff have had. Keep our best 17 fit for the business end of the season and learn to adapt our game in the modern era. There is no world where Penrith should be a stronger team than the mighty Roosters and if I sound elitist, I am!! We are the most prestigious club in the league. Sort it out Trent.

Being the 'most prestigious' club in the lead is nonsense. What does it even mean? Like 'glamour club' it is just media waffle.

'Better team on paper' is irellevant to results unless the team are harmonious and are tight knit. We saw that earlier in the season.

Penrith are stronger than us right now, that is just the way it is. It will turn, but not yet.

'Irrelevant as you can in the last few premiership races' - not really, we've been featuring in the finals. This year we got very unlucky through big outs through injuries and a couple of horrific ref calls in our last game.

Must control his temperament and aggression otherwise he'll be costing us heaps of piggy back penalties and visiting the judiciary often.

Penrith will still have the best squad, with Brisbane at 2.

If one thinks that Penrith will fade away, they need to think again: that grind game style of theirs will always have them in the hunt irrespective of the players they lose to other teams, as the players that replace them are grind-ready and fully know their roles in this very effective grind game style they have honed over these past 4 seasons.

Brisbane's best footy is in front of them, and they are number 2 with the squad they have assembled.

A host of other teams are in the 3rd group, which includes the Roosters.

The Warriors, Souths, Storm/Parramatta, to name a few, plus others such as Sharks and Knights, and there are always some unknowns such as the Raiders, Manly, and Dogs, for example, in how they will go in 2024.

The Roosters will need a large slice of luck on the injury front, players in form, and to resolve the issues with the Keary/Walker halves combo and the so-called spine if they are to be a contender for a top-4 spot.

Both Keary and Walker have limitations in their games; neither are organising halves, and neither have distance kicking games.

The other 15 contenders are not on the same level as Penrith or Brisbane, who, if they play near their best, should be 1 and 2 again when the regular season is completed in 2024.

Leinu has never had a chance at a starting role, and has been used by Penrith purely as an impact player. He did that job well in his Panthers stint. He’s also a very underrated defender. I’m confident that he’ll do a great job in whatever role Robbo has for him.

In a game where the referee generally let infractions go, he penalised Leniu near the end as a welcome gift of what to expect next year.

Agreed and start by winning more games in the early stages of the comp to soften the impact at the back end.

You need an excellent run with no injuries to win comps. Just like we had in B2B. If we ever get our full squad injury free we can push Penrith.

Leniu is going to be a bust. It was a dumb, desperate signing an attempt to chase the tail of the premiers. If it comes at the cost of Terrell May it’ll look even dumber

this is one of the most delusional things I’ve ever read of here. We are miles off Brisbane, let alone Penrith.

We need a fast start. I want to see us minimum 8-2 to start 2024. Anything less than top 4 is a failure. And let’s face it you probably need to finish top 2 if we’re gonna beat Penrith in the GF

Certainly relied on Cleary last half but sure mostly I agree.

Just to add that the team also has the attitude they were well behind after the triple tries but still they didn't cave the just found another gear.

In my opinion, we are the third best team in the comp. However, we DID not demonstrate that this year. Fingers crossed for a successful 2024.
