IMO make it part-time again and give Cleary a crack.

Freddy wanted a two year deal, not to have to go through the same circus every year.
Good on him for standing down.
Queensland have the better team and have much more upside for the next two years at least.

IMO the job's cursed. QLD wins most Origin series' and the coach is always to blame. Never a bunch of soft c0cks who lose the series all because they couldn't hold a bloody team out while ahead and up a player during the last 10 (then forgot how to play footy for the next 80 mins).

To me it's a media-driven 'rivalry' to give money back to the old QLD, NSW and channel 9. It's the product they got outta News Ltd's hostile takeover of the sport. It's just an exhibition match and that's all it needs to be.
It's not cursed. It just means more to Queenslanders! They say we don't get it and that's fine.

Absolutely he does. I’ll add him to the short list.

But he has to watch every game to check the form
                          of his players. Poor Freddy.

You imagine wrong Carlos. They made the role a part time role, offered it to him, and he declined the offer. Ignore the blame game media garbage. The loss of both Fittler and Alexander, both of whom are ultra high quality footy brains, is a big loss for NSW.

Fair enough. Watching RL can be hard work at times.
