  • Fittler quits as NSW SOO coach

Before he was pushed I imagine. Follows his mate Greg Alexander.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

    Who is replacing him? Cleary?
Formerly Stringaz, from the old Wall!

Great nice bloke but not a good coach
could have won 5 or 6 Origens not 3 and lost the unloosable 2020 series where Qld featured res graders

Left field, but I would go with Dean Pay and try and get Boyd Cordner involved as well

                  Sucked in Queensland.

I think Sticky might get the gig so I take that back.

                    Toovey is a good choice.

Origin is mostly about attitude, strategy takes a back seat

Toovey - head coach Cords - defense coach
                    Jason Taylor - attack coach

Likely the new coach is from Ch 9 ,the owner of origin and the GF.
They may as well give the job to Danika Mason because the series is all about the QLD dollar and NSW not winning.

He got us our first win after ages when nobody else (including Bellamy) could. This included by using various coaching innovations.

IMO the job's cursed. QLD wins most Origin series' and the coach is always to blame. Never a bunch of soft c0cks who lose the series all because they couldn't hold a bloody team out while ahead and up a player during the last 10 (then forgot how to play footy for the next 80 mins).

To me it's a media-driven 'rivalry' to give money back to the old QLD, NSW and channel 9. It's the product they got outta News Ltd's hostile takeover of the sport. It's just an exhibition match and that's all it needs to be.

NRL 360 reckon he was offered a 1 year contract but he wanted 2 years & also he would have to take a pay cut, apparently he was on 400k as the NSW coach.
