I don't disagree but it's rare that a player is finally going to come good all of a sudden in his 6th year at the club with the same coach in charge.

Time to cut our loses and reinvest into the squad elsewhere.

If it is a case of 'Go West young man', I hope the big fella is in a good place (figuratively speaking) now. He will be further from family and friends. My main thoughts are for him to be ok, and I wish him the best whatever he decides.

How quick has he fallen, Gus was one of the best at the World Cup and now most fans are glad to see the back of him.

Next Rugby Union World Cup is 2027 and Crichton would be 31 by then.

British and Irish Lions tour in 2025

Not sure he will be taking the deal with it being only a 2 year one - what happens after 2025?

Suaalii's 4 year deal covers the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour and the 2027 Rugby Union World Cup.

He supports a few charities and causes that some of the rednecks on here are threatened by …so no surprise

Yeah....nothing to do with the fact he was a hack all year for us on around 700k !! You could literally count his good carries on his worst hand !!

His defence played a big part in getting us into the finals.
Union would be an easier game for him to play...rugba leeg is fast and getting faster by the minute.
He's always done his best for us, even if at times that wasn't enough.
Sad he had troubles this year, but he seemed to be improving as the year went on.
Hope he does well if he takes the offer in Union.
Pro footy, a business, demands that the Roosters have the best players they can sign, no matter who has to be let go and who could be disappointed.

It's any wonder ARU are a basket case.

Seems like we are clearly the decks abit to help re sign Wong, Whyte, may etc with players like Manu coming up as well!
with Gus and Suaali gone this year or next, Momo also getting off and with jwh / tupou and Keary finishing next season there will be some coin to spend and retain

I wouldn't be rushing Keary out the door if he doesn't want to go.
                              Or Toops.

So all 4.5 of them then.
