Fortunately I have never seen it. I avoid that sport completely.

It was on at the Club last Sunday arvo, last quarter and they had kicked like 2 goals 8 and 4 goals 5. It's terrible

The NRL copped a lot of criticism for the cautious approach to launching and building an NRLW competiton but to their credit it does seem to have landed much better than the AFLW who were the opposite of cautious.

Next 2 yrs will be big for the NRLW, some of the scoreline blow outs havent been great.

In terms of crowds and support, I think the womens game has done particularly well in getting the level of interest so early in the journey. You might be surprised at the turnout for the game on Sunday.

This is a fact. The woman's game is a bullshit sport that the NRL thought they could piggyback on the popularity of the men's game. The women have a pretty lame, fairly new sport that is unlikely to attract big sponsors or viewership. Its just a bunch of amateur hacks who are only getting paid as part of the NRL's agenda to appear as woke as possible. Nothing sexist or outdated about that either. Its just the facts. Perhaps, like the men's game, in a hundred years they may have developed somewhat.

Agree wholeheartedly. Now you and I will be called all sorts of names but we only speak the truth.

The reserve grade competition gets nowhere near the amount of support, promotion and air time as the women’s game. Yet the standard of reserve grade to women’s footy is incomparable. Yet because they are women we are expected to suddenly support them playing and pretend that they are actually decent. I don’t care what people have between their legs, I just want to see quality football and women don’t provide this. It’s
watching football in slow motion. And there is certainly more satisfaction in seeing men bash each other than women attempt to bash each other and behave like men. I like women to be feminine. Stick to cricket, netball, tennis, swimming, athletics….

Now who’s going to be the first to give it to me and call me names? Bring it on.

I miss watching reserve grade on fox. I have no interest in the girl game.

The NSWRL run the state based Junior and Senior Rep comps for starters - These are shown on NSWRL TV - Selective games during the season and all finals matches live.

Comparing apples and oranges again (apologies to Syd Barrett) - Only you and other detractors of the women's game continue to want to compare the two games.

I am glad that the Easts Group Board is 100% behind the women's game, as I am, and is investing time and money into it.

Full marks to Coach Robinson and Chairman Nick Politis as well, who turn up at the matches and have always been great supporters of the women's game.

The women's game will only get bigger and better as it heads towards full-time professionalism, as currently the players still need to hold down full-time jobs and balance this and family commitments with their weekly football commitments.

The pathways for Women players is improving as well - Under 17's (Lisa Fiaola Cup ) and Under 19's (Tarsha Gale Cup) full Junior Rep Comps . State Based Comps( i.e NSW Women's Premiership/QLD BMD Premiership) and NRLW.

More work is needed, though, as they transition towards a full 17-team comp and fulltime professionalism.

Corban Baxter is a role model not only for other current NRLW players but future ones as well - came back after the birth of her second child and hasn't missed a beat in getting back into playing top-line footy in the NRLW. - Australia and NSW Rep

They don't have to give the game away.

Strong reserve grade changes the whole football landscape. It adds depth to the whole experience. I loved watching guys make it through the grades, picking prospects, roughies, journeymen, etc. That no longer exists to the same degree.

Calling people who dislike the women's game dinosaurs or whatever is just morons following what they have been told to think.

Curious as to why you choose to invest your time commenting on something you have no interest in, foreseeably for the next 100 years give or take. And if it takes 100 years for the women's game to reach a level you deem appropriate for your viewing pleasure, they've got to start somewhere right? Now seems as good a time as any.

I wonder if people back in 1908 spent their time whining to strangers about being forced to watch the beginning of the men's game in Australia, or if they just let people do their own thing...

Yep the game is not up to snuff yet.

its the same reason I will never recognise amateur park football hacks like Dally Messenger or Dave Brown.
