I like watching the Roosters NRLW team but last weeks crowd would have been 200 at most.

A lot of chatter for a comp most people supposedly aren’t interest in

Its just a bunch of amateur hacks who are only getting paid as part of the NRL's agenda to appear as woke as possible. Nothing sexist or outdated about that either. Its just the facts. Perhaps, like the men's game, in a hundred years they may have developed somewhat.
You only have to look at the cultural relevance the individual players in the NRLW have to realise brands and companies are going to be all over them with sponsorship dollars. Some of the players already have more cultural impact than NRL stars. Isabelle Kelly, Jess Sergis, Millie Boyle.. these aren't amatuers these are players who are becoming household names.

The NRLW also averaged just over 200k viewers per game last year, to put that into perspective that's in line with the NRL's average viewership for the Saturday 3pm and Sunday 2pm timeslots. Why wouldn't the NRL want a competition that's delivering those kinds of numbers... it just makes financial sense if nothing else. They'd be idiots not to surely? Or do you really think they should forego a competition gaining that much interest?

Nobody is talking about the actual footy the women play or the players themselves.

There is plenty of chat about the referendum that most people supposedly aren’t interested in either.

what is really embarrassing is the NRL having to prop up the men’s game by giving away freebies for the panthers/storm game.

why they didn’t play it at parra or SFS is poor management and a bad look.

im not a huge AFL fan, but watching their finals this year with results and crowds, has really made the NRL look second rate.

                Agree.
Our governing body must show their teeth, put political correctness aside and make the tough calls regardless.
Never going to please everyone whichever way.
Lol at the Vermin. They can't have it both ways. When it suits they want to play at SFS but would push for finals games at that horrible Accor.

Agreed, wasn't a good look for the game and the lack of atmosphere comes through the TV. What'd it get in the end 37k? Of which I reckon at least 10k would've been free or discounted tickets. Just better off playing it at Commbank with 30k there, awesome atmosphere that adds to the game.

I think the same for SOO, imagine 45k packed into the SFS. We need to bin Olympic park unless they plan to convert it into a rectangular stadium.

Souffs are nomads, they'll just chase the dollar wherever it takes them.

Well they certainly were surprised allright. Lucky they sent out thousands of freebies or the 3000 crowd would have been 300.
