Not really a highlight, but our depth of talent was what I appreciated the most. Considering the team nearly jagged a win and get to play a grand final qualifier, shows that Roosters footy is alive.

Tissues are optional
They will never have another Hutchinator.
His form was like an elevator.
Up and up it went.
But the money to re-sign him was spent.
It's Coach Robbo's fault, you know.
Because at press conferences, he would glow.
Whenever asked a question about the Hutch
He could never fault his effort much.
Now the Hutchinator has to go.
And Coach Robbo is left without his new Aubo.
Just like TRobbo we will also come to terms not having you around anymore.
We respect your loyalty and bid you farewell.
Good luck following that rabid mob.

5. Big Lindsay going to the next level.
Got to be happy how we ended the year with plenty of positives going forward

Get this....Billy Slater gave his 3-2-1 for our game to 3 Storm players, not even a point to a Rooster! Like wow..
I don't know how it finished up, however the VB Hard Earned index was populated entirely by Easts players at one stage of the game.1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Beating South’s twice along with beating Canterbury ( they are the two teams whom I most want to beat )
Seeing youngsters like May Wong and Sandon Smith develop as the season wore on
Toops breaking Minis try scoring recordWhen you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

Highlight for me was the way Luke Keary and James Tedesco finished the season. There were so many on here willing to write them off as past their best and not up to it anymore and to see them answer the critics in the way they did was great. Every time they show the replay of the last Storm play you see our skipper just a breath away from completing a remarkable charge down and then 3 frames later he is over near where Warbrick scores. Such determination and never say die attitude.

Biggest one for me is the huge improvement in our pack.
They truly dominated towards the back end, and it bodes really well for our future.
Cheese has finally shown why he is worth every cent - almost every run he makes is dangerous, and if he stays fit next year he'll be immense in getting us on the front foot all the time.
Collins is now a clear top 3 prop, and we are in good hands when JWH hangs up the boots.
May has finally found an extra gear after being underwhelming and having a poor attitude. Full credit to Robbo for man management in getting the best out of him, and full credit to May for his application. He should probably be starting alongside Collins next year.
Nat Butch is pure class, and is steadily getting better in attack. Starting to become really dangerous on the edges in attack.
Wong is a revelation, and will be raved about by commentators next year with how good he is. Hard to keep him out of the starting 13, and Critchon may find himself on the bench regularly with Wong joining Nat in starting back row.
Throw JWH and Leinu into the mix, and for the first time in a long time we have a really tough, diversly skilled and enthusiastic front and second row rotation that is as good as any in the comp if it fires.

Much hated and despised on here, but the Hutchinator played a major role in getting the Roosters into a position to make the finals in those 4 games he played at 7.
People conveniently forgot about 2021 when he also played a major role in getting the Roosters to the finals despite the injury toll.
Seeing Sandon Smith and Siua Wong progress through the junior pathways to the NRL gives other juniors something to aim for in the years to come, knowing that there is a genuine pathway for them.
The seamless pathway from junior reps to NRL/NRLW will reap dividends in the future.
