Screw luck. We have been hoping for injury luck the last four years. Something needs to happen internally to make sure we don’t have another injury ravaged year.

Im sick to death of getting to finals with half of our best 17 out. If we were full strength last night we smash the storm. May of even gave the riff a run for their money too.

Jeez. Spitting fire there. He isn’t completely off the mark, Robbo did drop him after all.

        Says who?

Most said JWH was playing his last season too this year.

Shame we can’t keep Baker and send E Butcher up to the Broncos
Both Sandon and Connor could be in the 17 as they will play different roles.

Sandon as Dummy Half and Cover for Half Back , 5-8 and even Full Back

Connor as a running utility forward - Lock

Bench Forwards nowadays need to be utilities in being able to play Front Row/Second Row and Lock if required.

2 starting props and 2 on the bench limits your ability to cover all forward roles.

Nothing wrong with Egan Butcher at all - Only 48 games into his NRL Career - It takes they say 100 games to be an NRL player. - 4 year apprenticeship

Would have been good to keep Fletcher but the offer was too good from the Broncos.

Ditto the Hutchinator - Dogs offer too good to turn down.

              • Suaalii - 196 cm and 98 kgs
              • Young - 200 cm and 107 kgs

Both best suited to a role in the back 5

yeah, it's distressing but sometimes things don't go your way. no doubt they'll want to review training procedures etc and do all they can to minimise injuries but luck's always going to play a part. smith and suaalii missed last night's game because of injuries that the club could do nothing about

Most positives have been mentioned , the one big positive I saw over the last few weeks is the form of Radley. I hope he continues playing that
way and cut the crap of trying to prove how tough he is, just perform it and you’ll take back your position as a premier lock ahead of Murray and Yeo.

Also Nat Butcher on the edge was a revelation.

No chance! 14 will be either Sandon or Watson with 2 middles and a genuine edge forward.

E Butcher is a plodder! I called it last night that his time should be limited after his poor start to the game and he didn't come back on. May and Baker are twice the players with minimal 1st grade game time. You either have it or you don't after 48 games!

E Butcher will end up playing English Super League.

I'l just add to my above post. Sandon will be our 6 come 2025 imo with Watson potentially playing the bench utility role.

In the end, the only opinion that counts is Coach Robinson's, and he doesn't have the view of either of the Butchers that some of their critics on here have.

This forum isn't about Robbo's opinion though.

Oh and for those geniuses...Manu is not the answer for 1 or 6. Hes a 4.
Agree re Teddy. The drop off in pace this season is concerning, and it seems to be getting worse at a rapid rate. Hopefully he is just playing busted and will be right for next season. If it is permanent, we may have a problem. Can he be refashioned into a 6?

Manu is a very good no.1 and the clear best choice to replace Teds if it comes to that.

Next year i'd expect will be Keary's last, after which we'll see a Smith/Walker combo.

Nat is a classy backrower and criminally underrated.

Egan.......I just don't see it mate. He has the size,, but not seeing much else consistently at this stage. Hope to be proven wrong.

I think there's a little more nuance to it this year than in previous years. Lots of injuries but take Billy Smith & Suaalii for example 2 of 3 who were ruled out on the back of last weeks game, a HIA and a broken jaw both caused by opposition players. I remember reading through some analysis of our injuries after about Round 18 or 19 and the conclusion was that despite a lot of injuries not a lot of them could be related back to the quality of injury management and many were just bad luck.
