I think you can only challenge when there’s a stop in play. So if the Grant incident is properly called a knock on, yes he could have challenged it because play is stopped. Of course he wouldn’t have though as he would have known he knocked on.

Because refs are so keen to not give us the 50-50 calls, we always win this challenge.

      I like this rule.

I also the 2 point penalty.
Agree Brucey...Teddy is the king of the challenge, and yes he gets plenty of practice.

I reckon that's a flaw right there. Using that incident as an example, Klein rules play on, Teddy challenges, and the play continues until the end of the set, obviously you can't pull the play up or defending teams will be challenging as teams are crossing the line to score. At the end of the set or when the attacking threat is over or a try is scored, rule on the challenge.

No we couldn't have because he called it play on. So there was no stoppage. Idiotic reffing. If he called a knock on, Grant couldve challenged it because it would've been a scrum to us and thus the play was dead.

            Coach

I don't particularly like play being halted by this rule, but this CC does seem to benefit Easts for reasons mentioned.

I think its a necessity with the standard of refereeing. Imagine if we had it in our day when Greg Hartley was on my list?
