so you’re blaming JWH for Baker going to Brisbane? We could’ve just kept him and signed Leinu ( as mentioned by someone else here). My question to you is “ would you rather play with or without JWH next year?”

It's a tough one because Baker wasn't showing anything up until our recent winning run. He is now playing better than even his break-out season.

        You can't keep them all.

I think the club is looking to promote Xavier Va'a to the top 30 next season and we may see him in action so yes a loss no doubt with Baker but it's not all 'doom and gloom'

Firstly I am not blaming Jazz. It’s the clubs call. Jazz is a legend and if you look at any of my posts that relate to him you will see I have loved his menace and contribution. But Yes I would gladly play without him next year. He has waned significantly and I would rather keep a young player with a lot of upside and get some returns on the development program than a fading 34 year old.
perhaps you should calm down and not be such a grumpy old man. people can have a different view to you.

Who’s grumpy? You wrote that we lost Baker is because we ( the club) indulged JWH. I see your point but others have raised a different view as well. That’s what we’re here form, to exchange thoughts and theories , I don’t get grumpy over anonymous posts by unknown characters, there are far more serious things in life to worry about .
Except souffs!!! I hate the carnts and their supporters . Now I am grumpy just thinking of the bastardos.

                I second this.

I like Baker, but I have Collins, JWH, May, Leinu and probably Whyte ahead of him in the front rower stakes.

With Baker leaving next year we need to keep May and Whyte and lock them up on extended contracts. Smith needs to stay which means Turpin will go as we’re keeping Watson.

I am assuming Angus will play centre this week, so a bench of:

                    S. Smith
                    May
                    Baker
                    Whyte

                    Should do the job!
