The same imbecile who said in the dying moments of Roosters Cowboys finals match The ball has come off Robert Luis arm and gone forward but it’s not a knock on

I also noticed that, for the 2nd week in a row, Easts didn't get a single repeat set. How is that even possible?
I think we got one in the second half when it should have actually been a penalty as the infringement was inside our 40m. This was crucial as we would have started our set at least another 30m up field.

Yes, I think you're right. I'm about to watch the replay.

I guess it was the usual standard of crap reffing that we see whenever Easts are playing.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I didnt like Fitzy suggesting both Teddy and Keary were offside for their charge downs. Thought he had more class than that.

I actually completely disagreed with Fitzy's press conference where he said the Sharks showed what kind of team they were and shut down their critics and showed plenty of guts... I think the result and performance confirmed a lot of people's thoughts on them that they are flat track bullies that can't go to the next level. Talented but not enough steel to win big close games.

I also think if you are leaning on Teddy and Keary being offside (they weren't) as an excuse, its a bit soft. They bottled it and didn't take their chances. Any other team who are still in the competition would've gotten it to 30-6 in the same scenario once Teddy went to the bin and we had those 3 sets defending our line. Fitzy could've probably owned up to it but maybe he is more of a positive reinforcement kind of coach. He can clearly coach but still needs a lot more work. If their draw is trickier next season, they might not have such a cushy ride to the 8 with all their home 4pm Sunday games.

It's certainly gone quiet on the 'it was Fitzy more than Robbo' bandwagon after this result

Fitzy obviously directed his players to take out Joseph.
So Fitzy can go and get faaarked. I for one haven’t blown wind up his arse when he has been at Cronulla. I see him as the enemy.

Staggered anyone spoke about this. From a glance at the footage it was clear he was objectively onside.
If you listen closely in Fitzy's presser, he definitely implied Keary and Ted were offside. Pretty poor call on his end.

Annesley shows and explains some great footage of both Teddy and Keary on side from the field goal attempts on NRL.com

Yes that’s correct. I couldn’t believe we didn’t get a penalty as it was inside our 40.

Its funny how things work out. I remember the incident and was blowing up at the time, but as it turns out, that was the set where Siua scored
