  • Fitzy pretty classy in his press conference

He gave us plenty of credit, at one point he said to one of the typically negative reporters "yeah you're trying to blame us for things instead giving them due credit". He did say he thought McInnes scored, I reckon he probably did too. Have to say I reckon we got an even share of calls for a change tonight, would have been a disaster had Teddy or Keary been called offside with the charge downs.

Teddy was objectively onside, visible on the screen. Keary I'm not sure but I think he was OK, too.

We got a couple of alright calls, but copped plenty of poor ones too. Was it Graham who absolutely ball-planted and lost the ball? Ref then called a penalty and we tried to challenge it, but he immediately said we couldn't because they kicked for touch straight away? There were plenty of other dubious ones, like Grahams shot on Suaalii's head getting missed, which ruled him out of the game effectively.

I thought Fitzy was relatively classy, but seemed to have many issues with the referees that he just didn't want to bother talking about.

Keary was so on-side that he became younger by the time he blocked the kick.

I'll tell you another sneaky Sharks tactic that they got away with all night....

Wade Graham stood behind the play the ball all freaking night after making a tackle with his hands in the air saying "Sir! I'm making no impact on the play!" meanwhile our dummy half had to constantly walk around him which slowed down our play dramatically.

It was an obvious tactic. The refs need to be aware of this.

Also as mentioned he intentionally played for that penalty with a few minutes to go and of course Sutton bought it.

And lastly he concussed Suaalii with a dog shot that should have been sin binned but wasn't even penalised.

So don't feel too sorry for Cronulla. They pulled out all the tricks in the book tonight.

Actually I didn’t like how Fitzy was pretty insistent that their toothless lock had scored. Not according to the replays Fitzy.

McInness went straight to the play the ball location, that’s usually a sign of a player who thinks they haven’t scored.

the 9 commentators pointed out that there was no roosters arms under the ball but they they omitted the fact that mcinnes had both arms cradling the ball and very probably between ball and ground.
but i liked mcinnes' comment at the end - 'we did enough to win but we did enough to lose it.' fair comment. it's a game the sharks should have won - they had the 4 easiest kicks on goal compared to our 2 and should have nailed one of their fg attempts

Who gives a flying turd. Fitzy is the enemy. I support only the Roosters.

Yes I noticed that too. Standing all over the ruck numerous times and the ref did nothing despite protests.

                        Have to agree.

I also noticed that, for the 2nd week in a row, Easts didn't get a single repeat set. How is that even possible?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Only for 80 minutes 2 to 3 times a year.

Yes, he knew. Should have heard Joey Johns pleading his case for it to awarded. He obviously has x ray vision the rest of us mere mortals don't.
