I've always lionised Trell but tbh he was "sacked" by the Chooks because he was/is difficult. He was also inclined to be lazy when he was here, often making little contribution and that has been the case also at Souffs lately.
In his defence, it is impossible to keep a level head when the media has made you a superstar and in his case, he is reported as complaining that the team relies too much on him to come up with winning plays - they've bought the superstar tag too. It's a pity because, at his best, he IS the best but atm, it's looking disastrous for him.

Now official (they had till 12pm today) the vermin have accepted the early guilty plea and Latrell will miss the round 27 game against the Roosters, honestly its head scratching that they didn't try to get it downgraded due to lack of force, really does make you wonder with his lack of effort recently whether they are happy not to have to put up with his crap.

Yeah he has some flashy plays when they are on the front foot but his effort areas at fullback are putrid and always have been. It’s honestly not NRL standard, and the fact he has gotten away with it with no real criticism as of yet always suprised me. Usually they use the old ‘he is a different style of fullback’ or ‘he can do things other fullbacks can’t’ to let him off the hook. But the video of him against the knights doing the rounds is not an isolated incident and looks like someone not invested.
He looks super unfit. He would have to be at least 110-115kg and sloppy, it’s evident he doesn’t have same conditioning expectations as the rest of the squad.
I find it a little sad. He is of the TPJ & Schuster mould where they have all this unmatched talent, yet lack that competitive drive that could make them great. Imagine someone like a Josh Reynolds, who would compete on everything and grinded out a semi-successful NRL career with very little talent, with the same attributes as those 3. He would be an immortal!
Attitude is everything and Trell’s attitude stinks. He is arrogant and I’m glad he is gone from our club.
