Unless Latrell goes on to lift the trophy this year you could argue that he has been a pretty dud buy for Souffs.

Big Ears has made a big mistake giving him the keys to the city, and his requested fullback jersey.
He hardly missed a game for us as a centre but at souths he's missed about a third of them at fullback through injury or suspension.
Dropped the lip and got nasty when he was losing which has become a trademark of his game, their coach looked a bit fed up with his actions and I don't blame him.

Is Latrell any different to other players such as Radley and JWH who would be considered grubby players by the supporters of other clubs
JWH does like to use his forearm as a bumper bar.
Last year JWH had that incident with Zac Fulton that looked a bit dusty with the forearm strike to head and at fulltime they also had a confrontation.
Apparently related to JWH's time at Manly and "dealings" with Bob Fulton

The MYTH Mitchell exposed again.
Ponga made him look like the fat slow slug he is.
He beat him pointless 3 times.
Souths stopped him going for the ridiculous short kick restarts because he continually fukked them up.
Fatrell is a myth.
He will never be a representative fullback.
I hope he plays against us, no one could be more a liability to Souths.

Well I guess it was only a matter of time that his actions (or lack thereof) on the field were too hard to ignore by fans, teammates and even the commentators have caught up.
With the political landscape in this country, being critical of any indigenous person is somewhere people fear to tread.
None of us should be immune to criticism as it is character building.
I think I said last year that his coach must scream into his pillow at night knowing that he presides over one of the most naturally gifted footballers of his generation, getting fullback money but only doing 50 percent of the job.
It's been shown through stats that his body is not handling the rigors of the number one position.
Take Teddy, Edwards, Walsh and Gutho to name a few, they are always in the game and as the sport gets even harder to play, that bar of athletic excellence is always rising.
There is nowhere to hide at the back.Formerly Stringaz, from the old Wall!

If he carried on like a moron, he always had guys like Cordner, Friend, Aubbo, Cronk etc to get him in line. From all accounts, Trent kept him on a short leash too, and pushed his fitness regime firmly.
Ever since he has gone to Souffs, he was praised by the media and powers that be as the "prodigal son" returning home, same way as Inglis. Instead of dialing in, he is surrounded by quiet leaders like JD, Cam Murray, Cook etc as well as a bunch of absolute dirtbags like Cody Walker who enable him and blow smoke up his backside. Did anyone see that god awful dramatic Matt Nable promo where he basically said the proof Trell was fit and committed to delivering for Souths was the fact that he ran the ball 17 times on his return against the Tigers? 17 runs a game is par for the course for a fullback.
He's a protected species. Tried to take Joey's head off, yet the "its not his go" brigade came out in full force, crying about how suspending him would ruin the game. Even now, Fletch just came out and claimed it would be a "highway robbery" if he was to miss the game against us. He has form delivering cheap shots, lashing out with the boot, elbows, high tackles etc with his best mate Cody. But god help us all if someone boos him, because apparently that's racist.
In the end, it isn't all his fault. Much like Suaalii, he is the victim and product of his surroundings. He is a gifted footballer who can excel at fullback at a pinch, but lacks the discipline to be an elite fullback week on week. I'd put as much of the blame on arrogant pricks like Cody Walker, the weak leadership around him, and the pandering media.
Because he gets away with being a protected species etc as you say and because the people around him aren't being a good enough influence on him now like they were at the Roosters...somehow that makes his appalling attitude and behaviour not his fault? He's a grown adult ffs. He already gets away with plenty that others don't because of the don't call out indigenous behaviour bias. And still, you want to cut him more slack.

Yeah look the facts are there. He is an amazing player on his day but he lacks that week to week professionalism to be great for long periods. He doesn't do the dog work, the defensive work or the 1%ers that great fullbacks do. He is/was a centre through and through but needs to be the main man.
Don't want to talk too soon but I see him being the kind of guy who retires at 30. He needs to win Souffs a comp. If you actually look at his output since going there, if you remove the times he has destroyed us, what has he actually done? He was injured for half the season in his first year, similar this season and when they made the GF he was nowhere to be seen due to dog shot suspension. You could argue he cost them a premiership given they lost 14-12 in a GF without their biggest attacking player and highest earner.
He has been a highlight reel player for them and nothing more. We should be grateful we got the best out of him at centre, where he can turn a game on its head without having to be involved in every play.

I've heard that he thinks he should be on $1.5 mill based on how much they rely on him and what other big name players are getting.
I wouldn't be surprised if they either upgrade his contract or he moves on for more money elsewhere. Apparently he's always late to training.
