Looks like early plea will be 1 week. 2 weeks if they fail to overturn. It seems like their coach was resigned to losing him given he talked up Taafe in the press conference and didn't have too many complaints with the sin bin and he generally likes to complain.

Would be slightly easier to stomach if we lose to them without having the camera on Latrell every minute. Gives us huge opportunity to win though. They have looked an absolute rabble in the last month or so, and the only way I saw them beating us was Latrell going beast mode like he usually does against us.

Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell has been charged with a grade two dangerous contact charge by the NRL's Match Review Committee after yesterday's match against the Knights.
An early guilty plea will see Mitchell miss one match. However, if he elects to contest the charge at the NRL Judiciary and is found guilty, he will miss two matches.

Mitchell and the Rabbitohs have until 12pm tomorrow (Tuesday) to enter a plea.

Grade 2 dangerous contact charge- a two-match ban. Surely he will try and get it downgraded-didn't look that bad. Bloody dumb thing to do at anytime but when there's a minute to go and you're already cooked for the day why the fark ??

I think they would have to argue that it wasn't intentional or there was no intent in it to be successful at judiciary, which would be impossible to do because it was a petty dog shot. Whilst contact wasn't major, I'd assume grade one would be like a slap or facepalm instead of a stiff arm.

He hit Tyson Frizzle on the back. If he'd hit him on the head, he'd get a month.

I would prefer Latrell to play & the Roosters win.

$1.06 to get a downgrade, it will be like Slater in 2018.

My business partner is a sponsor and very well connected within Souths. He told me that Latrell is on the nose there. He's been having a whinge about the team being too reliant on him. This latest incident has them fuming.

                      Totally unnecessary.

He/the club will deny it but it was in retaliation for an incident between he and Frizell earlier on.
Watch the replay.....after Latrell lands the elbow from behind he goes about grabbing at Frizell in anticipation for his reaction.

He deserves what he gets the cheap dog!

Lartrell's grubbiness and un-sportsman like antics continue to plague him it seems.
If he wants to be regarded as a club leader and setting a good example to younger players, especially to the hundreds of young Indigenous fans who adore him, time to grow up champ.
League fans should remember you for your outstanding abilities but not otherwise.

Great for a Roosters fan to hear. Not sure we'd want one of our sponsors spreading those stories though.

How can you have a business partner that sponsors that scum club?

Their fans have had a gutful too. Some even regretting they didnt keep Aussie Joe now instead!

We actually dodged a bullet there.

There is scuttlebutt and rumours that Jack Wighton wants to back out of his contract with them and stay at the Raiders. He's only going there to "win a premiership" and it could be that the window has already closed on that possibility. If true (of course, it might not be) maybe his mate Latrell "being on the nose" is also a factor?

As for Latrell, if a player can miss games for carelessly whacking a person in the head, surely a deliberate elbow to the head must get at least one week if not more.
