There was an interesting chat with Connor as part of his ABC radio gig. He said the day he did his knee was one of the worst days of his life.

It happened at training on Day 3 of the Sydney Test. The wash out day.

Because of the crowds they couldn’t get an ambulance in. The team doctor was away so couldn’t get the green whistle for him. They had to take him to an X-ray place in the Roosters van. Lastly when they got to the X-ray place they didn’t have any wheel chairs with the straight part for his leg. Hi dislocated his knee 3 times getting into the X ray place.

Based on that you can understand his comment.

No wonder with injuries like that we have lost 55 weeks of players through injuries of greater than 5 weeks since 2000. 8 more weeks than the Knights.

    I hope he stays.

Watson is the perfect 14. Can play anywhere and brings energy off the bench
injuries have crueled him to date
i would be fine either way if we kept him or let him go, only because he can’t stay on the field

Can’t play centre. Otherwise Robbo would have used him there instead of Hutch last season.

Hutchison can't play anywhere to first grade standard, but the Guru has used him over 70 times, the worst player ever to play that many games of NRL.

I will never forget the Drew Hutchison to Mitch Aubusson comparison from Robbo earlier in the year..

I mean, how you can you not question the Coach with comments like that!?!

your post implies that Hutch can play centre. If I had a choice between Hutch or Connor for centre, I’d choose Connor for sure. At least he has speed. In fact I’d choose Connor over Hutch for every position including prop

I never heard him say that as I stopped listening to anything Robbo says. But if he said that, then it’s further proof he has become delusional

Robbo was just quizzed on Connor in his latest interview and didn’t look confident at all that he would return this year. He also said that ideally he stays and we’ve missed his speed and power from the bench. He said they will know more over the next month.

When the injury occurred Watson was long odds to return this season so its no surprise it looks like he won't make it back before the season ends.

Interesting comments about the Hutchinator as I recall in 2021 how folk were saying Keary will struggle to get his position back since the Hutchinator was going that well and even folk saying that The Hutchinator at least can take over Aubs number 14 role.

I also recall how folk never liked Aubs playing centre / 5/8 and even dummy half and saw him solely as a backrower or utility forward bench player if not starting.

One can safely say the Hutchinator is a better 1/2 and or 5/8 than Aubs was - Aubs has him for backrower - pretty even at Dummy Half and I dare say Centre

Coach Robinson has a fair point

Yeah fair enough.. I’ve been living in hope and had just been keeping tabs on the NRL casualty ward which had his return date round 21 and have kept pushing it back one round at a time.

Hutch's best position is Left Right Out
