Love Boydo but going into the NSW coaching role at this time when NSW are at their lowest may not be the best choice for him. He is quite new to coaching also, so it could end up being a recipe for disaster.

He’d be better than Fittler… Kevin Walters had somewhere near that winning percentage at Catalans. He’s going alright now.

I feel as though our club's given that bloody team a lot and it always seems to end with those who stick their hands up getting blamed for the fact we s*ck.

Dunno if I wanna see another one of our club champs get blamed far what's almost completely beyond their control.

IMO Easts should withdraw from Origin. Give the fans Edwards and the forwards they want. Anybody who gets selected should botch up an English grandfather and say 'sorry would love to but...'

Like Slater you don’t need to be an experienced NRL Coach to succeed, surround him with top NRL assistants like Maguire (Defensive) & Trent Barrett (attack) and Cords can use his leadership skills & passion to push through especially with the younger boys

Like Mal and Slater... IMO all you need is the better team and you'll probably win.

Freddy threaded the needle after a decade and discovered a way to win narrowly. Now he's apparently unwanted and incompetent.

They will not get a full time NRL coach as the clubs will not support it. What had Slater done before origin in regards to coaching? Limited prep seems to have worked for him. Let’s remember origin isn’t coaching its preparation, motivation and player management.

I have too much respect for Cordner to see him take the role. anyone who coaches NSW is on a hiding to nothing.

Until NSW can get Gus, Joey, and the the rest of the old boy ****ing losers who hold so much influence over the side out no coach will have any success with the blues

My pick would probably be Mick Ennis. Hated him as a player but as a commentator you can tell he has a smart footy mind. He has been in coaching roles for a few years now and he is as passionate as it comes.

I think it's too soon for Cords. I know Slater went into coaching QLD without any coaching experience but he has been working in the media for a long time now. Coaching SOO is not just about preparing the team, but dealing with the media. For QLD it would be a breeze as their media treat their team with respect. Sadly it's not the case in NSW. Maybe after a good stint being Robbo's assistant though.

Hope he stays away as NSW are in a toxic mess right now. They need a Gus or senior coach to clean that place up.
Gus is already pretty much the selector in everything but name.

His fingerprints are all over this current squad especially considering his relationship with Freddy.

One listen of his podcast and it's obvious he has a lot of say in who is in the squad, then proceeds to call himself a genius when his picks turn out accurate

Fair call. You’re most likely right on that front.

                          We’re screwed for years then!

Freddy might be best of a bad bunch - media agitating Cords name into the mix shows just how lean the candidate pool is.

Haha so true. He is awful quick to distant himself when it turns pear shaped though.

As far as NSW Coach possibilities go if they make a change

I was thinking Michael Maguire - may have to give up his NZ Coaching gig.

Justin Holbrook ? Looks like the Dogs are trying to sign him up in some coaching capacity though as a way to get Tino Fa’asuamaleaui to the Bulldogs - reportedly offering Tino 4 million and a share in a Pub
