No thanks, with all the publicity it will be a bidding war, you could get both Tapine and Fotuaka combined for close to Tino’s asking, I’d take the 2 for 1 deal

Moe reminds me of Taukeiho for some reason and Tapine just has some real x-factor, look at his try last night. It reminded me of a finals game a few years back when he did the exact same thing to us, just skipped outside a few flat footed defenders (Cords & Kez by memory) and crashed over.

Fotuaika has plenty of potential. What's his contract status?

I’d rather bide our time and bring the next crop through.
Xavier Va’a has promise and even though Corey Ross plays second row, he plays the hard game that is required of a first grade prop. Throw in the big Fijian, Watisoni Waqanisaravi and Leniu, Whyte and Wong and we have a powerhouse pack that can enact the style of game Trent likes. Roosters footy!

It’s just that you’re always looking to chop and change our team rather than develop.
Retirement? Was was your profession?

2013 ruined me as far as developing players is concerned. I loved what SBW, Maloney and Jennings did for our team.

That would be like waiting for us to produce a quality half, how many of those have we produced in the last 20 years

I thought it was interesting to note that his manager was quoted as saying ‘we will look at the offers and head coaches’.
Makes you think it’s maybe not all about the money for him. Having come front he Melbourne system I’m sure he understands the value of a good set up.
I just don’t think we’d be willing to give up that much cap space for a prop forward. He is an exceptional player though.
