No thanks, with all the publicity it will be a bidding war, you could get both Tapine and Fotuaka combined for close to Tino’s asking, I’d take the 2 for 1 deal

I agree. I think Tino is best of the bunch but not by much and I rate Moe & Tapine.

Moe reminds me of Taukeiho for some reason and Tapine just has some real x-factor, look at his try last night. It reminded me of a finals game a few years back when he did the exact same thing to us, just skipped outside a few flat footed defenders (Cords & Kez by memory) and crashed over.

Offers for Tino would be around $800k a year. Tapine $600/$700k a year imo. Both are excellent forwards! Most clubs would be interested.

Fotuaika has plenty of potential. What's his contract status?

I’d rather bide our time and bring the next crop through.

Xavier Va’a has promise and even though Corey Ross plays second row, he plays the hard game that is required of a first grade prop. Throw in the big Fijian, Watisoni Waqanisaravi and Leniu, Whyte and Wong and we have a powerhouse pack that can enact the style of game Trent likes. Roosters footy!

I cant see him leaving the Titans.
Foran will be telling them all how good Des is (& he is) & I think Des can get the Titans to be a very good team.

Baits, do you play SuperCoach fantasy footy?

No. Is it good? I've recently retired so I have plenty of time now and will consider it.

It was after the World 7's one year. He didn't last long, was only a train and trial deal and then he moved out to Orange, I captain coached his dad in Reserve Grade one year. Huge man who could really motor but lacked the skills

Actually I just checked Zero Tackle and Tino is apparently on $900k a year.

Tigers will offer him substantially more.

Dunno, probably a bigger waste of time than this joint.

It’s just that you’re always looking to chop and change our team rather than develop.

                        Retirement? Was was your profession?

I was a builder mate. Retired at 54. Body feels like it's 65 these days. Knees are farked.

2013 ruined me as far as developing players is concerned. I loved what SBW, Maloney and Jennings did for our team.

Bide oir time and have very limited success on the off chance these players make it....yeah thats a pass from me

That would be like waiting for us to produce a quality half, how many of those have we produced in the last 20 years

I thought it was interesting to note that his manager was quoted as saying ‘we will look at the offers and head coaches’.

Makes you think it’s maybe not all about the money for him. Having come front he Melbourne system I’m sure he understands the value of a good set up.

I just don’t think we’d be willing to give up that much cap space for a prop forward. He is an exceptional player though.

That team was built on players we developed: Minichiello, Kenny-Dowall, Tupou, Tuivasa-Sheck, Pearce, Friend, Aubusson, Cordner, Liu, Nu’uausala. You can’t buy an entire squad you need to develop players and most of those players were developed long before 2013 we had 6 of the 17 who played the grand final were part of the 2009 wooden spoon team the likes of Maloney, Jennings and SBW didn’t put in the hard yards with the club
