He was huge for us last year, I don't think we would have made the 8 without him.
I think he has the potential to be a real top line prop, but there must be something in his attitude which holds him back.
I don't think Leniu will be anything great, and may is looking very average, good props are very hard to find.
Makes you realise how great JWH has been for us.

Leniu has played a bit part in an outstanding team in their prime. Playing minimal minutes following 2 outstanding pigs in JFH and Leota. As a starting prop playing around 50min he is completely unproven....I have zero faith he will be much chop for us

I don't agree. Lodge played half the minutes of Collins and made similar metres. He was probably guilty of trying too hard if anything and made a couple mistakes with offloads and play-the-ball.

Our recruitment is in total disarray. Seriously Uncle Nick needs to fire a rocket up all those involved because we are a far cry from the super club we were in ALL areas of the football department years ago.

He was arguably our best forward at the beginning of the year before he got injured.
Most were saying we need to re-sign him beyond this year. Short memories.
He has not played as well since returning from injury and told his contract will not be renewed.
A good Lodge makes a big difference to our team. He is still young and has plenty to offer. I am sorry it has ended like this.
Leniu has some big shoes to fill.

There is obviously something about the bloke that isn't good. I'm not going to say "good riddance" or whatever because of the 18 games he's played for us, at least 10 of them he has been our best forward on the park.

On his day a real difference maker but obviously comes with the baggage. Was only ever going to be short-term. I think once he saw JWH get re-signed, he downed tools. The club wouldn't let him go like this if there wasn't a valid reason to.

Dropped would be NSW Cup. Lodge didn't play at all which implies the decision was made before the weekend.

To be fair I don’t blame him for losing heart if what he mentioned in a previous article is to be believed..

The Club asked him to sign a reduced deal initially on the promise they will give him a longer term offer once his initial contract expires..

Then situations changed and the Club went back on their promise

I like what Whyte brings to the team, maybe down the track he could end up in the Front Row. I would be prioritizing his retention and it wouldn't surprise me if this is in their thinking.
