Good, means Whyte should play each week and increases Wong’s chances of playing

But on Lodge I was against his signing but last year he proved me wrong. Pity it didn't work out as he has mongrel.

And an offload post contact that we have lacked for years!

Every club Lodge has played for, he has left before his contract was up. I don’t think this will be as big of a loss as a few think.

Yes after the Panthers game mate.

                      Precisely.

Where there is smoke, there is fire.

And with Lodge the smoke is equivalent to Ash Wednesday.

As I said before, two main things with him:

                      1. He wants 700k+ a season I believe. Is Lodge worth JWH type money? The answer is a firm 'no' from me. He is a good prop, but he is not in the upper echelon in the comp - even in our own team JWH and Collins are the better front rowers. It's too much money to spend.

                      2. Team disharmony - I am not saying he is the sole cause of the current team disharmony, because he isnt. But joining certain dots that I have heard, I believe that may be a contributing factor. You can't put a price on strong team harmony - that's why we won our comps, sure we had talent in the squad, but more importantly the squad was as thick as thieves and trusted each other implicitly. You need that to win comps. If you don't have that, you're fkd.

His lateral movement has been abysmal this year, and was on full display in his last game in defence. Spencer Leniu next year will be an upgrade, and Nathan Brown is a much more dynamic player and has a great offload that’s probably better than Lodge’s

His motivation has gone since being informed he won’t be around next year. He’s been more effective than Collins at club level. I’d rather have him here next year than Leniu.

worth noting that these stats are him playing at lock, not on the edge
