Also we played well as a team both in attack and defence, great team win!
Nat Butcher has put egg all over my face as well. I think that’s the best game he’s had since his debut; well done to him. He is much more effective in the middle rather than on an edge and I’m glad the coach has finally realised it as well. I hope he can sustain that level of performance beyond one game and keep making me eat humble pie.

Angus did his job pretty well today, aside from that wayward pass that let them back into the game. He looked a bit better than Egan and I agree we will see his best back on his edge.

The only thing I was a little bit mystified about was that in the first half when Brown came on he ran the ball up strongly and did some really great ball playing. In the later stages of the second half there were a few sets where we were struggling to go forward and I thought he could have a second spell.

But irrespective, really proud of the boys and will enjoy the win.
Brown needs a bit more game time as he definitely helps our go forward.

I think Toups and Manu had terrific games too.

There were some very good signs today.. Manu was great at fullback. Toups back to his best too. I’d love to see Walker return soon. We played more like a team with players in their proper position.

JWH. It looked like Manu made a couple of decisions (ie take the penalty goal before HT) when JWH was off

You could mention every player. A brave win where we needed to hold on and win, and did. They didn't even get that close, a couple of against the run of play tries including their last one.

Whyte was enormous and must be signed for 10 years. Anyone still want to get rid of Nat Butcher?

Just all round such a better performance, but let's hear from the Les Miserables and Ray Stehrs of the world, why it was still no good? I hope not.

If you didn't enjoy that, you are not a Roosters fan.
                  Yawn,
Here's Brain dead Bay Rooster again judging who are proper Rooster fans.

You haven't seen a win like that since your Bulldogs win "Fixes everything" thread. Then we get pumped by 30 the next week. Lol

Are we going to see a "Best win" "Fixes everything" thread after we beat every ordinary team every few weeks?

Yes it was a good win with important players out at a tough away ground but I'll reserve judgement on how we respond in this tough stretch coming up in the next 4-6 weeks before I declare we are back & start calling people names.

There was good and bad....................but if that's the Rooster style of play I'm far from happy.
It seemed all Newcastle had to do was spin the ball out wide and they'd make a lot of ground. Lucky our scramble defence was ok.

I've said it earlier, Knights should have won that game by 30....so many opportunities

We just can’t seem to get good defensive centers, every time they went wide, Allen and smith just seemed to fall over or make poor attempts.

Another reason why we need Manu back in the centres.
